Why do people think black girls are ugly?

I don't get it. what's so ugly about them? Is it because they are usually "loud" and "ghetto"? What about the ones who "act/talk white"?

Because black women think everyone else thinks they're ugly.

Why?

Because we were the bottom of the barrel in human social hierarchy in this country for a lot of it's history, and are still dealing with the lasting sociological impacts of such.

Of course black women were going to be put in such a place - we were slaves, and what's worse, is we were women so we were degraded for being black, and degraded for being women - women are upheld for our beauty, so naturally we would be degraded for our beauty due to that.

And that's all there is to it.

Aestetically, there are gorgeous people in every race, and ugly one's in every race. Not every blond hair blue eyed white woman is sexy, and not every dark skinned, big lipped black woman is ugly.

Just how it is. Your either very attractive, attractive, average, less attractive, or not attractive - no matter what race you are.

I use to be hung up on this whole black women are ugly blah blah blah and I realized it was majorly coming from my own fellow black women dissing on each other, talking sh*t about each others' looks, holding ourselves to these got damn " real black woman are like this " standards - and we end up just f***ing each others' heads up in the end.

Sick of that sh*t.

There's a HUGE world beyond all this goddamn sh*t about black woman looks / attitudes/ whateva believe or not.

And once I stepped out of that ' woest be me poor have it hard black woman ' mentality - I stepped into a world in which I can be with white guys, Hispanic guys, Asian guys, and black guys of my choosing.

Why?

Because no matter how much our sub - culture and aspects of the media / society say that black women are bad looking / undesirable whatever -

reality strictly says otherwise...

This questions sound ignorant, What does talking and acting white mean. I always spoke proper English, Not talk white. I think black women are one of the most beautiful with the exception of asians, I was a cheerleader, Pagents , And modeling. And I never had a problem getting a white man, I just prefer dating my own race. I know I'm fine and beautiful, I went to school with top notch white girls and I was homecoming queen. So that theory is wash down the drain.

I wasn't trying to be rude so sorry :/ people where I live don't prefer black girls as attractive. I'm black and what people call me an "oreo" whcih my guy friend whos black said white guys would go for me and that black girls are ugly.

None taken, I'm a texas girl and it's predominantly white and I see mixed couples here all the time. I was just telling my mom the other day white men hit on me just as much as black men. I don't know where you're from if people think like that. Because if texans doesn't think like that who does, I'm a light skin black woman too and I see all beautiful shades .

I'm a black girl and I can sincerely say that I've never had an issue with people thinking I'm ugly. Or at least they've never articulated it. People tell me all the time that I should model.

They look similar to the men. Seriously, put a wig on a black dude who is clean shaven and looks a little feminine, then put him in a dress, and it looks like a black woman. Shave a more manly looking black woman's head and have her dress like a dude, guess what people think she is? A dude. What's sad is that women don't particularly care about this, so black guys are not usually the target of attacks on their appearance unless they are racially motivated, but a lot of guys of other races take one look at a black woman who looks a little manly and think to themselves "No thanks".

I don't know where you live, but maybe everyone around you is just racist. there are a lot of really gorgeous black women! as for how they act, that depends on the person, so traits like that should not be based solely on race.

If, God forbid, you got cancer and all of your hair fell out, you wouldn't even look feminine because there's nothing special or interesting about your face and it's not like you have curves. *Side note: putting on a tight, short dress doesn't make you look like you have t*ts and an ass*

Are you kidding me? I have never seen an ugly black person especially black women. I've traveled a lot and even was in Africa surrounded by black people and I was just so jealous. They were all so pretty and I wanted to look just like them all.

not all black girls are ugly but I do think a majority of them are less than attractive. I've seen the ones that have the money, right upbringing and the knowledge of how to present themselves can be more attractive. The ones I know either don't have the money to get a weave, buy lotion for ashy skin or they have too much money that they have made themselves look so high maintenance that it is trashy.

But that's my experince.

Not all black women wear weaves and I'm pretty sure the orange, cheese it skin toned white girls with platinum blond hair, and plastic surgery, trying to imitate some of the features black women have naturally, look way more high maintenance.
