Protein powder that doesn't taste like SH*T!

Question

Do you know about any protein supplements that actually tastes good. or at least a little tolerable ?

I bought a 100%whey tech protein powder that is supposed to taste chocolate ... it smells like chocolate, but tastes god damn disgusting. Like puke or something. And smells disgusting too when made into a shake.

ANY thoughts, idea, experience etc shared would be nice

The golden rule is "If it tastes like sh*t, it works".

I recommend Muscle milk whey protein, it tastes good 100% guarantee. The quantity is small, it will only last for 2 weeks, but quality > quantity.

I only take Muscle milk whey protein if I am really sick (my body can't consume any hard foods or ill throw up if I'm sick). And I think muscle milk whey protein is the only protein powder that is lactose free. It gives me gas sometimes, but thank god it doesn't give me the sh*ts.

This stuff is easily the best tasting protein mix I've ever tasted. I tried the mango and vanilla flavours and both are great (although the mango one looks greenish but still tastes good). For some reason though the chocolate flavour is twice the price which is strange so I haven't tried it.

The worst for me was pure hemp protein but it's not too bad. A couple spoons of cocoa and a bit of sugar and you don't taste it. Hemp milk on the other hand is good awful.

i don't have any experience with protein powder but I drink Boost protein drinks and the chocolate flavor is disgusting but the strawberry one tastes pretty good. I talked with my friend about it and she said that usually chocolate flavors taste bad but fruity ones taste better.

If you want to make it with water and not milk nothing is as good as BSN Syntha 6 and Gaspari Nutrition Myofusion Probiotic series. They taste AMAZING (cinnamon bun flavor omnomnom) and come out thicker and creamier even with water.

If you're willing to add milk instead of water other brands to look into are Dymatize Elite Gourmet, Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard, Bodybuilding.com's 100% Whey Power, and Muscle Gauge's American Isolate.

None of it really tastes good that I know of. But it does all seem to be kinda different, but still in that funky range.

I'm not particular to any one brand cause I don't use it all that much and I just go in and buy whatevers on sale haha.

My last buy was a brand called body fortress, it seems to taste pretty decent, it at least seems to be more of a neutral taste, at least to me anyway, but I certainly don't think it tastes bad.

You will not find a good 100% whey protein that tastes more than decent...

Reason being: It's 100% whey protein. It comes as a product of cheese-making.. you'll get use to it.

If you ding one that tasted good it won't be whey and will have bunch of fat and sugars that you don't need.

for taste, I would suggest dymatize elite...i like cookies and cream personally. I have tried a lot of products and I would be extremely surprised if you don't think its delicious (mix with milk). I personally use optimum nutrition because its a little cheaper and I think its a great company, but it doesn't taste quite as good...not bad at all though

I'm not too sure what sh*t tastes like, but protein powder is gritty and a little bitter. Mixing some vanilla flavored protein powder in with milk, a banana, and some sweetener makes it tolerable in smoothies, but I wouldn't just mix protein powder and water.

i would go with creatine , in its most generic form is a pink sugary powder that taste like koolaid, if you want to stick to why protein though , I would just go for that generic vanilla one and instead of trying to mix it into some bootleg pulpy smoothie that taste nauseating I would just chug the powder raw and then wash it down with water or mil

Gold Standard Whey Protein is pretty good and you get what you're pay for. If you want flavorful protein that's also good for you but a little more expensive you can try Usana Dutch Chocolate Whey Protein. Its so yummy..

I get Booster Juice with a shot of Protein.  I can barely taste it.  Otherwise, I'd have to agree witht eh fact that protein infused beverages taste like sh*t.

Do this:

1 scoop of Vanilla whey

1 cup of orange juice

1 cup of water

Tastes like orange julius. You'll be in ecstasy. :)

Don't worry about the added sugars/carbs. It syntheses well with your protein.

Here's another tip: Never use anything other than vanilla protein powder. You can mix berries, bananas, strawberries, etc. :)

Go onto face book and look for "warrior supplements" most of these products are the best I have tasted, your not going to get life like chocolate, but most of these are the closest I have come to enjoying the consumption,x

What I like doing is mixing my protein shake with some milk and peanut butter, its some extra calories and fat but it tastes better, you get more protein and the extra shouldn't matter as long as you plan your meals around it
