Trending & News Ahhh see, these is one of these things that are apparently subjective. I've always thought that everyone makes a distinction between "being in love" and "loving someone". I learnt it the relatively hard way when my now ex told me he wasn't in love with me. I was quite shocked and hurt. After some discussion, I've discovered that to him being in love and loving are the same thing. When I explained to him what being in love means to me (i.e. butterflies in stomach, excited to see the person, etc.) he said "that's just LIKING someone, not being in love). So when he told me he wasn't in love with me, he meant he didn't love me. Which was fair enough.
My point here is, we cannot possibly answer your question because none of us know how your boyfriend defines these concepts. To me, "I've fallen for you" means "I'm in love with you", and not "I love you". Although it doesn't necessarily mean that he doesn't love you, it's just not what those words mean to me.
Thanks
to me, its different, if he was in love with you, hed say, i love you, saying I've fallen for you to me means i really like you but not enough yet to say i love you, its kinda like saying I've got love for you. he's not in love with you yet. its kind of like a promise ring compared to a wedding ring, if that makes sense. if you love him, tell him i love you, and see what he says, and just because he doesn't say it now doesn't mean he won't in the future, sometimes it takes longer for people to fall in love.
Falling for someone is what you say when you fall in love with someone, so in a way yes. Though where I come from there's a really big space between falling for someone and loving someone.
If I say that I've fallen in love with someone, it's saying that it's a person you really like and would want to enter a relationship with someone. When you say you love someone, you're saying that the person is really important to you, and that you would do anything for them, because you love them.
But that's my language. In English it seems to have pretty much the same meaning.
Where do you come from?
Oh, sorry, forgot to mention it. I'm from Norway.
Unless you trip him or push him down on a regular basis, I think your interpretation is a sound one.
Haha, thx

Yes. Saying something like that is just a safe way for him to admit his feelings without coming on too strong and scaring you away, which is possible when someone says "I love you."
He has Fallen in Love with you, Bad. Right at this Moment in Time. That's Fine. However...
"I love you" Can mean "I love you Forever" or "I Love you," You're like Family or Friend to me. xx
A guy I like told me he falls for my personality each time he sees me.
So it could very well be love for the both of us.
Yes, these two things are synonymous.
