Why does my boyfriend only talk on the phone outside?

So I've been living with my boyfriend for almost 5 years now and it has always bothered me that every time he makes or receives a phone call he has to go out the front door to talk. I'm talking every single phone conversation, even with his mom. This has been going on since day one. Why is this? Should I be concerned?

I usually do the same thing as a respect to the other person and myself. I don't like people listening in on a conversation that was meant for just me and the other person (mom, friend etc. ).

You guys have been together for quite sometime, can't you talk to him about your concern?

I have, he says there is no reason for it.

Nope. I do the exact same thing. I hate it when anyone can hear my conversation. Even when a telemarketer calls..I have to go outside to hang up on them :)
