When a guy calls you beautiful, but has a girlfriend is he sincere?

I know a guy who is probably one of the smartest, good looking, genuine kind of guys. I don't know him well, in fact I probably know his girlfriend better than I know him. One day I saw her and we chatted, I told her when she said she was dating him that I thought he was a really nice guy. She said " thank you, I think so" and a few days later he wrote me calling me "beautiful" and I wondered if e meant it or just said it because she told him what I said. I could only wish that they weren't together...and he was my boo :p but I'm very happy if he's happy. :)

It's not normal for me to throw out compliments like that, and I wouldn't be flirting like that if in a relationship. Some guys are less genuine and call every girl beautiful because they know girls love compliments, and in turn those guys are hungry for attention from whoever they can get it from or so it would seem.

I wouldn't want to be with a guy that calls other people other than his girlfriend beautiful. I wouldn't feel special if my boyfriend were like that.

Guys are visual creature , its very normal for us guys to call a female beauty even through the guy have a girlfriend.

So guys can't control what they say? If they see a beautiful girl they HAVE to absolutely tell her that because they're just so visual and can't control their brains?
