You know when you have a gut feeling? I’ve been on and off the dating apps for years, it’s come to the point where I’m not as interested & I swipe on matches/reply to msgs every few days. I’ve never had a real relationship, I saw someone for a few months maybe 5 years ago & something told me after I saw him that’d I’d be single for a long time. With him it felt like settling & I refuse to ever be with someone that made me feel like that again.

I had to use dating apps bc I’m not very friendly & I don’t get approached in person. I’m told I’m cute/attractive & I will say I have a very low sex drive (haven’t masturbated or had sex in 5 years). I don’t think this is a huge deal considering this isn’t something that will be an issue that early on, a guy can’t just look at my profile/see me in person & know that right off the bat.

I get matches (never been the issue) but it’s always: ghosting, fizzling out, lack of interest (can go both ways), feelings not reciprocated, just not a good match & some guys are just crazy. I just always have a gnawing feeling like guys aren’t attracted to me, I’d get told once in a while that some guy looked at me/found me cute but they never do anything about it. And I don’t either hence why I’m posting this 🤷🏻‍♀️

TLDR: based off the description, is this something that’s unlucky in love?

Do guys get turned off if the woman is smarter than them (very smart, genius)/makes more money?

So this month on the 20th, it will be mine and my boyfriends 6 months together. Our relationship is fairly good. We get along great and laugh together a lot. Always have a good time when we're together. Yesterday was Valentines day and i got him a long sleeve t and socks from this brand he likes, a cartridge for his stiiizy, a custom keychain with our picture and our song on it, a collectible funkoPop, Cologne and lotion from bath and body works, i also got him Chocolate, little star wars candy collectables and snacks at the bottom and A sentimental card. He got me 6 LovePop pop-up cards. Unopened still in the plastic. He didn't write in any of them, sign them, or address them to me either. And that's it. No flowers, no chocolate, i was miserable and we went to his bowling game afterwards from 6-9pm and went home and went to bed. I'm heartbroken over this. I feel so unspecial, i feel unappreciated and just like sad. I do a lot for him and i expected a lot more. At least a sentimental card and flowers. He didn't offer to do our own separate day. Should i leave him? Is this something that normal people work past? I just think its common sense especially in a new relationship. Help.

My new job is business operations assistant
And so I sit next to my boss (head of business operations - HR)

And each section has 4 seats

So on my left it would be 1 exective director
And the other seat is the other executive director


So i sit with important people (hr and 2 directors)

Does this mean my job is important?

I started my new job a week ago
But lately my new boss keeps asking:
"How do u feel?"
"Is this job what u really wanna do?"
"Is there any questions u want to ask, let me know please"

Why does she keep asking me those questions the last few days?

I am asking this more as a language question than a “moral” one, would appreciate answers from native English speakers

I definitely feel I’m in the minority vote here. But im not big on whatever the armor looking suits are called. I’m no seamstress so I don't know wtf this stuff is actually made of. I just know I hated Spiderman’s iron looking suit that Iron Man made. I definitely preferred his softer spandex lookin suits from Spiderman 1-3. I initially wasn't a fan of Wonder Womans newer armor like outfit but it grew on me. I hated Supermans newer leather and armor lookin suits despite it being a relief to not see his underwear outside of his pants. I didn’t really like any of Batmans suits. I preferred the Power Rangers spandex over their newer armor. I definitely hate The Flash’s suit. I’ll always prefer Halle Berry’s Catwoman and Catwoman suit over the others. Thats just me #FeelFreeToList

EXAMPLES—

I’m not in a position atm, but I think in the future id like to either foster children or adopt one. It’s not the same I rescue animals and with animals I always feel like it’s so much more helpful to foster many bc all of them find homes rather then adopt one give it whole but the ones in need of ahold can be put down. Children won’t be put down but they may end up stuck in “public housing” theory ought childhood. Plus often the ones most in need of foster care have been looked over. If any of the children wanted to be adopted eventually, I guess we could look into it but I feel funny just saying ok I’ll take this child... I think they should have a chance to be age then decide to themselves who they are comfortable with.

I lost my parents young I had beautiful too few years with my great grandmother, then nearly a deface of hell (till I ran away) w/ my guardian... I’d like to be a safe place for kids who need it. Dk i guess I Lean towards foster.

I meet a guy a few years ago. We were neighbors. He started washing my car every week. I tried to pay him and he wouldn't take the money. I then found out he was living with his girlfriend at the time. Then they moved out. Then I hear from him a few months later telling me he has crush and wants to take me out and that him and the girl he was dating broke up. But then he kept making excuses when it came time to hang out. Then when questioned I found out that he decided to go back to the same girl he was living with. Now in 2023 we happened to run into each other and reconnect and he still saying he still wants to hang out and that he knows he made a mistake before and that he and the girl ended up broking up shortly after that. However it's been almost a month since we've been in communication and he is still making plans only to cancel or take a raincheck. He asked me to be his valentines and then said oh well I have to bring you the gift I got you early cause I'm working on Valentines day. But on valentines day morning told me he would be able to come see me. Then at the last minute says he cannot get off work and has to stay late and can we go on a date this coming weekend. He is consistently making plans and then canceling or asking for a raincheck. We have yet to actually go on a date. Am I just being paranoid in thinking maybe he is still involved with someone. Am I just wasting my time thinking this guy is going to ever step up? Or does he just want to hook up and potentially ghost me afterwards?
