There is a lot of reasons for a guy not to commit but you should have some patience and if you really likes him or love him you should try to do your best for him , take care of him , talk and laugh with him and always try to show your love but don't be much insecure if he is open to other girls just talk about him and show that you will stick with him until he not get sure about committing.

If you try to force commitment then you will end up in the messy situations.

Guys know in less then 6 months if you are the one so if you are going on a year then he is comfortable with you waiting on the one he will do anything with.

I don’t know what kind of commitment you’re talking about. But if it’s marriage: Listen I’ve been with my boyfriend 6 years and still no proposal. He’s just not ready and I respect that. We need to settle down first and see how living together as new working adults works. It’s very difficult to ignore the “if he wanted to he would” bs that seems to be preached everywhere. In reality, sometimes wanting something doesn’t mean the right thing to do is getting it immediately.

It’s a fair indication that he could be but it’s not a reliable way to tell. I usually only date one person at a time but I hold off on a commitment until I can get a decent idea of who she is. Not every girl I date is one that I want to commit to, the dates are to determine if she is and I supposed it gives her the opportunity to do the same with me. That’s my personal reason anyway.

Nope. If a guy isn't committing it's because one of two things

1. You chose a guy incapable of commitment. Congrats!

2. You simply have not given him a reason to commit.
