I was recently listening to the song "Hey Mama" on YouTube. While scrolling through the comments, I saw stuff about feminism being thrown down the drain and how it is such a sexist, masogynistic song. While there may be some masogyny in it (when Nikki mentions how he's the boss and "she be respectin'") the rest of the song is really about making your guy feel good. People think there is something wrong with that. But in reality, why wouldn't you want to please your partner?
In any healthy relationship, pleasure is a given and received thing. Does restricting sex really prove a feminist point? "I AM NOT A SEX OBJECT AND I WILL RESTRICT ALL SEXUAL ACTS WITH MY CONSENTING PARTNER JUST TO PROVE A POINT." That is what I am hearing from these so called "feminists." If you can explain, please do.
Anyway, I think most people can agree that sex is an important part of any real relationship. Built upon love and trust, it's a great thing. Staying loyal to your partner (also in that song) both mentally and sexually doesn't make you a sex object. Wanting to have sex with your partner doesn't make you a sex object. Wanting to please your partner sexually does not make you a sex object. It also doesn't make you any less of a woman. Your partner will appreciate anything you do for them. You won't be looked down upon.

This us an excerpt from an article about the author's thoughts on the song. Our interpretations are a bit different, however, she makes it seem like Minaj only wants to please the guy because he's good in bed. Never is that mentioned in the song, however, everyone is entitled to their own opinions.
Ladies and gents, you can be independent and still make your partner happy. You are in no way tied down and need the man or woman you are having that relationship with. It takes two to tango. Make that tango enjoyable and please each other in all ways you can possibly do so.
