Breaking the Never Ending Cycle

I was naive in my youth and I gave my heart away like drops of rain in the spring. Her name was Hayley and her father abandoned her and he left her mother and started a second family. Her father would forget to call on her birthday and she would cry the entire night. The very man in her life completely fucked her over and she wasn't able to accept the love that I gave her so she did to me what she was taught by her father. She fucked me over, too.

The diagram above describes the 'Never Ending Cycle.' A good guy gets his heart broken by a bitch and turns into an asshole, and a good girl gets her heart broken by an asshole and turns into a bitch. But, what if I were to tell you that there is a way to break this cycle?

There is Man's Way and then there is God's Way.

• Man's Way

Have your parents ever let you down? Has your sibling ever let you down? These are members of your immediate blood family so it should come to no surprise that your lover will let you down.

Human beings will let you down.

• God's Way

The love the comes from God is very different from the way of Man. God won't ever let you down; but, rather, He will only bring you up.

God's love is called "grace" and given freely without condition when you believe in faith.

And, I know. Those will ask "Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?" Well, I don't think that God causes it, but rather, he is there to save you from it. He is the refuge and the savior. It is God who is there to put it back together after a girl breaks my heart, but it can only work if I allow him to by surrending my heart completely to The Lord.

Those that you love will hurt you the most. Love makes you vulnerable and with a single blow your heart could shatter like glass and into pieces.

An Eye for an Eye and We're Both Blind

Do not fall into the Never Ending Cycle of Man to break someone else's heart because someone broke yours. That's the way of the flesh. Instead, forgive and break the cycle and pray for those who mistreat you and bless those who curse you.
