It all stems from a form of sexism if you really observe it. Women have always been used and seen as a sexual objects and an accessory for a guy, therefore the younger the better because they put the value of a woman in superficiality. It's that simple. Some people don't realize they are doing it because it's so rooted in our society and culture.

No, they haven't. In fact one could quite succesfully argue that women have used men as work horses and fodder for all of history. It is women who had greater sexual power and therefore had greater leverage in mate selection hene pre marriage era women reproducing at a higher rate, 80% then there male counter parts, at 40%. So one can not only argue that that is incorrect, it can actually be proven scientificly, women dictate male behavior, women choose the man ergo women choose what a man views as exceptable or not. In fact the very claim that all men are sexist is itself sexist as that is what you are stating when you claim men throughout history and across the board did this to women (ironic since it was always men who where expected to provide everything they had to a woman even if it meant their death (hence women and children first not men and children first))

I think your argument is more against a midlife crisis. If you think becoming a middle-aged woman means losing sex appeal, believe me, this is not always the case. I am pulling way hotter guys than I could have 20 years ago, my options are even more variable than ever. If some idiot prefers some twenty year old to me, there's someone better out there. He just did me a huge favor by getting out of my life♡

I think being a middle-aged means losing sex appeal because that is what I have seen from men all over GAG. I've never heard men in real life say this, perhaps it's because they don't want to.
People see more honest on the internet about these things than in real life.

It makes me think when I am 40+ I will never compare to my young self, that is why I am trying to hold on as long as possible. I am glad I have a man that doesn't think this lol!

After you reach 40 it's a whole different type of self-discovery:) It's a positive thing. You can't knock someone for desiring someone of a different age if that's what they really want in life. Let them go. It is what it is.

Well, sex appeal goes hand in hand with how you look.
Realistically, if I am wrinkling and graying towards my 40's , It's clear to see I looked better at 29 and younger.
It's up to the man I am with if he wants to accept that change or not.

I think you are probably misunderstanding what they are saying. Yes men say that but its usually in conjunction with a larger issue ie how men are treated by women that is how women ignore men blow off guys then as they get older they try and settle down but those guys who where willing to be with them before have moved on and now can get younger women so these women are bitter and angry and the guys who where burned by them are stating that these women are washed up, they partied and took their looks for granted going from guy to guy and ignoring the guys who wanted a relationship and now that they can no longer do that they are trying to back peddle and get a relationship only to find those guys who where willing are now with younger women ie she had the power of mate selection in youth, he has it in age. However this is also changing as can be seen (one of the most popular, and growing genrea in porn is actually mature women ie women over thirty, as @peachblossomluck alluded to.

As I said, it usually is due to how women act in their younger years to the men who say this. Its not something that I think is widely held and as I pointed out its actually becoming increasingly more common. Perhaps its personal perhaps not, who knows?

It's been this way since the dawn of time.

Women seek social status and financial stability in men. Men seek physical intimacy out of women.

At 35, a man in theory is supposed to be more matured and more cultured than he was at 20.
At 20, most women are going to look better than their 35 year old selves. So the result is pretty clear.

Although I think most people end up with someone their own age. And I'm not saying I like it this way, but thats how it seems to be.

Younger women are also funner, usually, women in their 30's and older are usually sticks in the mud who have forgotten how to live or they have baby rabies and have no interest in building a relationship they just want to walk down the isle and pump out some brats NOW!!

One of my best friends is 40 this year and he is constantly dating women in their 20's because they are young fun and hot, the older women are just dull and unattractive.

Well, I hope never to become dull and unattractive.

I am 29, but nearing my 30's there seems to be a guideline of how people want you to act and dress. Do you agree with people conforming to society? I think that may be half of these womens problems.

No I don't agree with conforming to society and your probably right about that being a big part of the problem, I do see a trend of women getting older and doing exactly that. A woman can be fun, hot and wonderful into older age's but it's sooooo rare! Most become bitter, boring, let them self's go and have a horrible sense of entitlement that they go away with when they were young fun and hot but now is just ugly. They seem to loose sight of what matters in life, become unhappy and blame everyone else. Again not all people are like this and men have plenty of their own problems as well, just speaking of the trend in this narrow focus.

I dress up all of the time, and I love to go out once a month dance, go on a cruise, to a bar, etc. Sometimes when I'm in a club (ladies night out), I'll go crazy and give a lap dance to my female friend. I just love to live in the moment.
I'm told when I reach 30 I should tone it down (wear skirts to my knees), dress more mature, and not go out as much.
It seems like I have to be acceptable because that's what society says should be.
30 is still young but it's expected to be mature, more conservative.
Some people need to understand 30 isn't a grandma lol
Yes, you can be career oriented, but what's great is to have a balance in your life. If you've always been a fun person then don't change for anyone.
I do admit occasionally I can be a huge grump, but like n e one I am moody at times.
But yes, I get your perspective a lot.

This could be one of the other reasons why older men chase younger girls. I don't see anything wrong with it (because I've been chased by older men my whole life). I just want to know why some of these older men condemn women their own age.
Being on GAG has opened my eyes to that factor. I never noticed it in real life. I guess because people are more honest or open on the net.

Ah, well, that's easy. Biologically, people sexually pursue what is best for babies. Babies born to younger mothers are healthier and.. well... stay alive. Miscarriages, fertility treatments, birth defects... awful things for everyone. On the flip side, women like established men because poor, starving, dying children isn't a pretty sight either. So learn to accept it and move on. Find something else to care about in your 30+ years... thousands of years ago, you'd be dead about now.

I am just speaking on behalf of the ignorance I see displayed in this site. Where men act like a woman is damaged goods after a certain age.

From hindsight, when I am 89 you will be 81. We both will rust away and those years won't even matter. That is, if you live that long because women have a longer life span.
I don't believe in setting a bracket for what stays hot. There are plenty of thirty year old women that don't look their age and that are hot enough for you to take a second look.

Sorry but the gravy train had to run out some time for you ladies.

-No more free ladies nights at clubs
-Invites to hot parties just for being girls.
    -Getting free drinks from guys
-Guy's going out of there way to help you
    - Attention and people paying you as much compliments on social media.

Woman need to realize 30+ it's men who rule (you've lost 90% of your eggs by then and most aren't even that good). From a biological perspective you are near worthless.

yeah, but you just kinda rambled around a bit. For instance you start with

"Older women becoming recyclable with age, is a perspective that is shared amongst a great majority of men, who refuse to date women their own age. They parade themselves around, arm in arm with their much younger woman, showing her off as if she is a trophy."

Ignoring that it works both ways. The great majority of women refuse to date men their own age. If many men are parading themselves around with much younger women for their looks, that that must mean that many women are parading around with much older men for their status. It's a two way street, but you just seem to ignore that repeatedly

A lot of men seem highly absorbed with their own problems. They cannot acknowledge something wrong without having to talk about how hard they have it

I'm just saying that unless these old men are kidnapping these younger women to show off as trophies then both parties are responsible, not just the one

Most women refuse to date a guy that isn't older than them so I don't see how this is our fault.

Ehhh, everyone is recyclable. Some people just are more fortunate than others to either not experience it or experience it less than other. And you never know when it will hit you. It's nothing to do with gender or age. Guys get recycled just as much as women, young and old.

I am growing old with my wife and that is how I want it. I will pass on the younger models. Women need to chose wisely. So do men.

lol I don't date women over 23. I don't see a problem with it. younger women are just more attractive they have something older women do not. an older women can be sexy but I don't find them suitable for long term relationships.

This is true for me I'll admit. When I marry at age 27ish I want my wife to be young like 21ish. For the reason that I don't have to push impregnating her. Plus she remains attractive for a longer period of time. 20-30s. This is just how things work. A lot of women prefer older men because they are more likely to be wealthy and she sees this as being set for life. There is no denying men like hot girls. Hot girls are youthful. Older women lose there looks especially after pregnancy.

In all honesty 21 and 27 isn't much of an age difference. Ever seen a man 51 and his wife 45 they look the same age. I am talking about decades of a difference

But I understand your reasons for wanting to date a little younger. I dont think age automatically equals attractive. I have seen women let themselves go early on.

I find older people maybe because they had a bad relationship are bitter, fussy, hard to please. Expect better partner in life. But can't cause they bring up negatively in everything. Then cannot understand why.

Hopefully I'll come across a gal that matures and ages as I do.
