4 Easy Ways To Tell He Likes You, Girls

Do you know a guy and you wonder if he likes you? Here are some signs that he might, based on my personal interactions with women I have liked and little else.

1. He looks at you frequently

When a guy likes a girl, his eyes will naturally gravitate in her direction. Sometimes this happens without him even realizing it. When you catch him, he quickly turns away. Once or twice is natural even when he doesn't like you, but if it happens several times a day, he probably likes you.

If you like him, smile at him. Be open, welcoming and approachable. As to whether you should approach and start talking to him, the jury is out. If he's shy, it might put him off.

2. He seems nervous talking to you

When I talk to women I like, the stakes feel very high. The conversation is never free-flowing or natural. It never happens spontaneously. I always have to build up the courage to approach her, even if we have spoken in the past. So I have to say that if a guy seems nervous while he's talking to you, it might mean he likes you, especially if he seems otherwise positive and engaged in the conversation.

3. Awkward Pauses In Conversation

Topics start and come to premature ends. There are awkward silences. My brain would cease to function and I couldn't keep the conversation going. Once my pre-planned conversation ran out, there was no reservoir of curiosity common with conversations with non-romantic interests, and there would be an awkward silence.

It turns out this is normal. Science proves it. If you notice awkward pauses in your conversations with a guy, he might like you, or he is just an idiot.

4. He seems overly confident and fake with you

Sad to say so much of dating is game. If a guy doesn't seem natural and vulnerable, he might have artificially pumped up his confidence to attract you.

I've had ALL of this from shy guys, I ask them out. BAM. Rejected. Shy geeky guys are usually my type. But I'm just going to go for confident guys because they don't really ever tell me no

I would like to a side note to #3:

Sometimes it's the opposite. He's trying extra hard to say the right thing and gauge what she expects, but some guys slow down and end up with pauses, while others overcompensate. The key is that, whatever he is doing, he does it differently around her than other girls.

I don't know if the last two are true. It's probably just me, but when I talk to someone I like I make it a point to talk fast and energetic. I might seem nervous but I dont awkwardly pause I purposefully babble along pretty fast.

I have tried that. It's a technique to keep your mind from freezing. Some people can get away with it but there have been times I have said the wrong thing and it upset her, so my brain tries to be more cautious with those high stakes, #2 and #3 and then... brain freeze.

But yes, you're right, this is also a sign.

Give her lots of time to talk. Be interested in her. But still talk quickly and smile a lot. It helps her realize you are interested in talking to her and are having fun doing so.

1. Smile at him when he looks at you.
2. If he talks to you, smile and stand close to him. Keep smiling while you talk to him. Break the personal space barrier. If he likes you, he won't back off. If he likes you but is shy, he might back off at first, but then move closer again as the conversation continues.
3. Don't feel discouraged if he doesn't respond immediately. At first, he might not know how to respond to your interest and flee. Don't give up on him. Shy guys need to build up courage and make plans. Be patient. Let him approach you in his own way. Just do your best to remain unintimidating, approachable, and open.

We really started talking almost two weeks ago. I only see him on Sunday's and Wednesday's tho

Try to find a activity or game to do with him or a group of people. During that activity try to start a conversation or act like you need his help or opinion during that activity.

I totally disagree. As a shy guy, I would in no way be put off by a woman starting a conversation with me or flat out asking me out. Heck, I'd prefer that she do it!

Another reason for a woman to take the initiative is that guys can be clueless and miss subtle cues that you may be dropping.

I'm guilty of number 2 especially. Number 4 though? Just no. All that faking only gets you so far. I want a girl to see and know the real me from the start.

No problem 😊. I didn't mean it to sound harsh or anything by the way. I just think it's sad that I've known some guys like that, it was just a game to them. A way to boost their ego. And like the other guy said, if you've got 4 without 2, you're probably dealing with a player.

I wasn't offended. :) I've done all of these things. I found the first three are what happen naturally. Women don't find them sexy, so I tried #4 just to have more of a chance of success. It worked.

Unfortunately it takes a lot of energy to put up all of that fakery over a prolonged period of time. Being fake made me a player because I found myself dumping or being dumped right after the first sexual encounter.

I wish I could get an LTR without the fakery but given my natural nerdy self, it's difficult without lower standards. When I am talking to women I am not attracted to, and my normal personality is out there, they often are attracted. It can be like fighting nature to be natural.

I know what you mean, and that's why I try to never show fakery, and maybe that's also why I've never had a relationship. 😔 I think you can never really know when faking will work and when just being yourself will, so I just try to show myself as I am all the time

Besides number 4. Overly-confident charming too-good-to-be-true guys are not interested in me for me and I have no interest in them. Because they make me very uncomfortable and also very difficult to trust them.
