What's the meaning of love?

People have changed the meaning of love in nowadays life. I respect all people. But there is no true love. For example, as you see there are many couples and they say they love each other etc etc... But they are just in love with sex, they are in love with each other's bodies..They just take advantage of their bodies, that's all.

The real the meaning of love is being special person to only one person thats special.

Love means "cant be able to think, can't sleep because of thinking of her all the time, when you put your head, you always think of her/him, when you study you think of her/him, when you do anything you think of her/him.."

Love is like an apple. The one half is you and the other half is the other. One is nothing without other one. And i didn't talk about sex as you are aware.

I think to love and be loved satisfy people much more than having sex... But most people can't understand me. I just wanted to tell my thoughts.

Well I only think about my crush all day. I think anybody happiness is more important than mine. I love serving people. I would probably take a bullet for someone I didn't know. So maybe I just love people? I don't know. But sometimes I hate people. I think I love people and hate the persons. That probably don't make since. Just some peoples presence make me mad. But I'd still die for them. I feel like some people in the world are just trash. Like guys sitting around talking about women as objects. Or dating them just for sex. Sex does not sound good its completely one sided. I mean sure its enjoyable but like not for her most the time. It just ends up hurting her because sex makes a chemical called oxytocin. Well actually any romantic act makes it. It makes you feel closer to that person. It bonds you in your mind. And then the guys are like I got what I wanted from this relationship and leave and she is brokenhearted. Because of how the bonding thing works. Guys don't get this and there completely fine. Treat women right. That is not love it is lust. I am not ever going to hurt a women. Love is not wanting anything more then to be in his/her presence. It is forever. It is wanting the best for that person. Like letting her go because you know she loves someone else. But if he ever hurts her you would come kick his ass. Oxytocin is good in marriage because it draws the couple together. Or a real relationship. Too many girls getting hurt because they don't know what love is. I hate players. F#@! them. I hope everyone finds true love

You think exactly like me. I don't play around and hookup with boys. When I fall in love, sex will be the last thing on my mind. The only thing on our minds will be our love for eachother, and how we want to be with eachother. I would say that's more honeymoon phase love/infatuation stage because it's not realistic to think like that all the time. It's hard to function in every day life if all you think about is your partner. I don't think about my boyfriend every minute of the day but I know I have feelings for him/love him. I used to think that way in the beginning and it wasn't beneficial in any way, other than good feelings.

Also people don't tell another they love them when they're really only interested in sex (unless they're dicks) because most now go for friends with benefits situations.

Love is what you make it. It is individual specific. If you want love to be the entirety of sex and the like then that is what it will be, if you want love to be your will and need of another, the putting of their wants and needs before your own, that selflessness, then that is what it will be.

From what you wrote, I can only assume you are putting yourself down because of an event that got you feeling like this, whether its seeing such negativity on the streets or being cheated on. It just sounds like your going through a rough patch.

Don't believe that myself, even though I haven't found my true love. I still believe in the possibility of meeting my match. I know I have deep emotions inside that I long to share with the right person. People always have had the same emotions, just that things are more complicated now. And we are constantly bombarded by movies and other media making us believe that love should be like a fairy tale. Real life love takes a commitment from both sides, and it is harder to find that in today's world. But never give up on love, it can come in to your life when you least expect it!

Sorry to say this but the perception of love haven´t changed, and you can´t generalize. There are those that don´t believe in it, others that don´t see love as a big deal, others that have a romantic view on it and there the ones that have a objective view of what it means. For me love go beyond a relationship that involve a significant other. Love you see in a good parent watching out for his kids, love you see in somebody dedicated to help others in exchange of nothing.

And yes, love you also find in a sexual relation with two people that love each other. The act of having a sexual relation with someone have a deep, spiritual and emotional importance when there is mutual love involve.
