Is drunk talk honest talk?

If someone's drunk and out of no where says the only reason they're with you is because " you're better then nothing" then proceeds to say you always ask for the truth so I'm telling you the truth, what would you think, feel?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Keep in mind alcohol tends to lower inhibitions and escalate feelings.

So, if on that day, the person got drunk while in a possible rut/bad mindset/after a fight, they might mean it... while in that state of mind. Hopefully that makes sense.

For instance. One day, my dog poops on the floor. I'm upset. I, briefly, say I hate my dog. Do I really mean that? Maybe for a short amount of time, but not forever. That's a very simple example, but hopefully you understand what I'm saying. He could've meant it in the moment, or due to an emotion he was thinking along those lines, but that doesn't mean it's how he thinks about the relationship all the time.

There's some truth to it, but not always. When I'm drunk I do tell the truth, but I basically say the same things as I do when I'm sober. Sometimes I am more... exaggerated though. Like, my boyfriend already knows I find him attractive and want him, but when I'm drunk, I text it to him a lot that I think that, haha.

if the person is with you just because they don't want to be alone than you should leave them. I believe there is always some truth to drunk talk.

It's more stupid or overly simplistic talk than honest. Drunks can be nasty and angry or overly empathetic with terrible life advice. Either way, drunk brains say dumb shit. Or even insecure enough to sabotage a relationship. Anything is possible with alcohol.

But i don't know your relationship so you gotta make the decision yourself

Drunk talk is lack inhibition, so they have trouble filtering thoughts, most likely it's emotional talk not something they thought of before hand. It could be in part true, but no one thing is responsible for bringing two people together.

In college, I was at a party with my friend... and this drunk girl (that my best friend hung around often) told my friend that she loved him and wanted to be with him. That was 5 years ago. Today, because of that, they are still together.

Some people are more truthful when drunk, but for most I'd say it doesn't make much difference.
If I've got a secret I kind of want to tell someone but am afraid of the consequences, I'm more likely to tell them when drunk, but alcohol isn't a truth serum, and I can easily lie when I want to completely pissed.

Hard to figure out.. sometimes it is honest.. but also a person's brain is messed up chemically, so totally messed up thoughts could enter their minds. A normal person wouldn't get violent; but alcohol could make them that way. Alcohol alters a brain. I wouldn't consider his words to be honest truth.
