Why do girls talk fast?

so I was on a date the other night. we were there for four hours and I swear I probably talked for about 45 minutes. she did all the talking and was talking really fast. I've asked why that was and they have said that might be because they were nervous. if so is that a good thing.

I was concerned because she didn't really ask that many questions about me because isn't that a sign a girl is interested in you because they want to get to know you. she did give other signs like hair thing and "self grooming" constant eye contact , open palms. leaning not slouching or didn't have arms crossed. and rubbing of lips at the end of the date.

at the end I kind of invaded her personal space in a sense in that I gave her a kiss on the cheek then hug. then she said you know like this was great lets do it again soon and for me not to wait so long.

She seems like she is interested. I know that I tend to babble a lot if I'm nervous and on a first date. Its like, I can tell that I am just talking and talking, and my brain is trying to figure out how to shut my mouth, but it just doesn't work! Lol. She may just need more time to get to know you so she feels more comfortable.

Also, on the next date, try steering the conversation a little more. I know that I tend to babble in order to fill in awkward silence. I'll just go on and on if a guy doesn't interrupt me! Wait for a pause and try to insert an anecdote or maybe change the subject to something you're more knowledgeable about.

Something cute a guy did with me once was that we had to take turns asking each other questions. It was different, but I didn't feel the pressure to be entertaining as we both had a good time just learning more about each other.

Yea I tried asking for a second date twice, once she didn't respond and another said she was busy. So I don't think she's interested. Now I"m bummed that she might not want a friendship how do you think I should go doing that if I can?

Try seeing if she'd be interested in going out in a group setting. That might help take some pressure off. I would also be honest and ask her if she wants to just be friends. I don't think there is ever anything wrong with asking a person to be direct and honest with you!

Because we think faster:) Just kidding. Girls generally say more than guys, so I guess they have to pack more words into a smaller space of time.

I talk fast sometimes when I'm nervous, though I usually can slow down pretty soon. And if I get started on topic I'm really passionate about, I can keep talking about it for a while, and then I realize I've been talking out me the whole time. So she may have just been excited about whatever the topic was. She may be a more expressive person. She may have been nervous.

If she said she had fun, and not to wait too long t do it again, I'm guessing she's interested.

Though medical science is still not certain of the cause, studies have shown that one in seven women is predisposed to babbling on endlessly about nothing in particular. If it should happen again, simply lean forward a cuff her ears sharply, and she'll immediately begin conversing in a normal pattern.
