Trending & News Depends on the context. If your saying, "MINE", and you treat her like an object, then I don't think so. It's more controlling and ownership.
However, if you are saying, "MINE", as in, I don't want you to be with anyone else and I want you to be all mine because you mean that much to me, then that is when it's endearing.
That's when BDSM can get confusing to people. There is a fine line between slavery possession, and the feeling of being totally taken and secure possession. It's a knee jerk reaction to see someone being slapped around and collared and yelled and think of it as slavery, because that is exactly what happens in slavery and/or abuse. It's hard for most (especially if you've gone through abuse) to understand the difference. So I find it funny when some criticize people for not understanding something that not everyone can understand or fathom. But at the same time, "people are people, so why should they be?".
My girl and I call each other mine, but it's not in a possessive way. When she says I belong to her or vice versa we never mean it in a literal sense. We never dictate who the other hangs out with. There are times where we'll make plans, but the other will have to decline because of previous plans already in effect and we'll be perfectly understanding.
I had an ex who called me hers all the time, but she actually treated me like I was hers and I couldn't do anything without her permission. We broke up less than a month later so I guess it's the person and how the entire relationship is working out for that to be a yay or nay for me.
If I said "This sushi is mine!" and the other person didn't eat it; I take that as a term of endearment.
If said in a cute, non possessive way than sure I'm for it.

The truest form of endearment. MINE MINE MINE MINE.
Bravooooo👌 great ex, but lol stop stealing my shhhh
Great question! It's like the fine line between actual ownership and just a mutual specialness that both of you possess. Really do like this question!
If you even have the vaguest impression that you own another person I promise it will end horribly
Careful some feminists view it as an object only. Are you that feminist?
No, just because I call a man mine does not mean I see him as an object.
Or he's 5, and still going through the "everything's mine" phase
Possessiveness is not endearing.
Sooooooooo TRUE!!!
It's a term of possession
Yes, it is a term of endearment.
NAY.
Hearing "mine" = HUGE red flag alert to me
Yea I want her to be mine and I want to be hers.
Hell yeah. Completely.
It depends upon the context that it is said in.
