He says he loves me And we've been dating for 8 months. Now that I am friends with me ex on Facebook after he told me he wouldn't put up with that he dumped me over the phone. My ex and I were together for a long time and my now ex should be confident because I am so clearly into him. He told me to leave him alone when 4 days ago said how much he loves me. Does he mean it? Should I stop calling and texting. He hasn't responded to any of what I have said. I want him back. I guess he doesn't want me anymore?

True love can't be erased overnight. If it could, many of us wouldn't struggle to get over our exes. More than likely, he's just really angry and doesn't know how to articulate it--so he broke up with you.

Although, I have to say that if you've given no indication of ever being unfaithful, it's highly irrational that he would dump you simply because you became friends with your ex on Facebook. Obviously, your boyfriend has some insecurity issues that he needs to deal with. I can understand him feeling uncomfortable if you two were physically hanging out together, but just being friends on Facebook is hardly a cause for concern unless your ex is sending you messages saying he wants you back.

I can't tell you what to do, but if it were me, I'd simply go to his house and wait for him to show up. I'd ask him to just hear me out and then if he still doesn't want to see you that's fine. Just sit him down and explain that just because your ex friended you on Facebook is no reason to think that you're interested in going back with him. You and your ex broke up for a good reason and your with him because you love him. Tell him that you're not interested in hanging out with your ex. Ask him why he feels so uncomfortable with you and your ex being friends on Facebook. What is it really that he's so afraid of?

That should get a dialogue going between the two of you so you can come to an arrangement regarding this issue. If he simply won't open up about this or refuses to talk to you because he's so angry, then you'll probably have to evaluate whether or not it's worth pursuing a relationship with someone can dump you at the drop of hat because he doesn't know how to handle his own insecurity issues.

Thank you for that! Yeah, he is bring really insecure about this issue when he shouldn't be. I feel like I would be a psycho though if I went to his house and waited for him. I don't have any other way I guess. It's hard as well because we had such an emotional relationship. I just do not want to fold to this issue because he is trying to be controlling and I can not handle that.

I agree that he has no right to tell you who you can and can't be friends with. You'll have to make him see that unless your ex is giving him a really good reason for him to be uncomfortable --that you two being Facebook friends doesn't mean anything. Facebook is not a representation of reality. Just because you're friends on there, it doesn't meant that you're trying to hang out with him.

Dont give up on him. Past exs bring a lot of drama into a current relationship and that is what happened to yours.
