Guys: are rib tattoos trashy?

So my fiancé and I are having an argument, I'm thinking about getting a sentence written horizontally on my side, a small one, possibly even in white ink so its not that noticeable but my guy says it's a common opinion that if a guy saw a girl at the beach or where ever she was showing her body off, and they saw a rib tattoo they think it's trashy... Obviously if at the end I really want it I'll be getting it regardless.

So true or false? Rib tattoo's = trashy? I know its subject to opinion and what you find hot or not but majority wise...

The only tattoo that is made to "look" trashy on a girl is lower back, above the butt. Anywhere else on the body is completely acceptable - the stigma about tattoos only being for prisoners are anarchists is gone. While getting it somewhere that will be unavoidably visible (chest, hands, wrists) is not recommended if you want a certain job, if its only visible when you're in a bikini, why the hell not? I have a black and white dove on my shoulder blade, and it is shaded in such a way to make it look like it was drawn on in charcoal. It's beautiful, it's a piece of art, and even my grandmother (who is an older generation, and a very strict Catholic) is in love with it. Is your fiancé more old-fashioned than my grandmother, or is he more concerned about other men ogling you at the beach?

Everyone has their own opinion about tattoos, but if you get an image/quotation that is meaningful and timeless, and you believe it to be a way of self-expression - then you should be the only ruler of your body.

On some girls tattoos look good, however they don't make them look respectable.

I'm not too much into tattoos as a whole, I just don't like a girl to alter they're body because I think they're beautiful just as is.

BUT with that said, I respect a girls choice, and in the end it's her body.
