Absolutely. This whole idea of an alpha male going after a soft-spoken shy woman is something you really only see in the movies. People generally go for someone within their own wavelength.
I'm dominant in my everyday life have always been in leadership positions. Whether that was in sports, the military, or group projects at university. I've done it all and I've always taken the role of being in charge because it's natural to me. Never once in my life have I looked at a shy soft-spoken woman and said, "Wow, she'd make a great girlfriend." Never once happened.
My fiancee is on the same level that I'm on and that's why I'm attracted to her. A soft-spoken beta would only hold me back in life. I want to take over the fucking world together with my woman.
I think alpha male and alpha female can be a good match if they both can be the follower at some points in the relationship. If you have two forces that won’t give up their dominance, it’s not going to be a good relationship. Just be a team.
Yeah, they shouldn't compete with each other.
If the 'alpha woman' is VERY 'alpha', well... I can't see her meshing well with an 'alpha man'. I'd imagine there would be huge ego-related issues when neither of them are willing to lay their pride down and meet in the middle.
can happen. but they have to cut some slack on that dominance to make it work

You're screwed.
However, you might get by if you have an easy going guy who isn't submissive. He'll let you lead and have what you want, but, if you are about to screw up, he'll assert himself to protect.
At such a point, then there is the potential for conflict and argument. You need to listen to him at that point because if you don't, there'll be long run problems. It is OK to still go with your choice at times or convince him to your side but he may be right too and you should let him win - both for your sake because he is trying to protect you, but also because he will remain emotionally invested in the relationship.
Even if you're an alpha you probably want to find balance in a relationship. Depending on how dominant you are you have to choose a partner that reflects just what you need to find that balance. I advise to throw terms like alpha out the window, you are attracted to who you're attracted to. Simple as that.
Depends on the guy. If he's a beta alpha "wannabe" it's all about insecurity and you might find yourself with an abusive child or a maniac. a true alpha male recognizes "game" and will see you as a challenge. If you enjoy being challenged and you two make each other better in the process, you've just formed a power couple.
It's all in your head. Being "Alpha" is irrelevant when you're in a relationship because compromise is the key. Let's be honest. When you fall in love with someone, you usually let your walls down and your behavior changes towards that person. So yeah you might be a badass to everyone, but with your spouse you will be the complete opposite.
So don't play into the whole Alpha thing because you'll sabotage your relationship before you even get into one.
Almost never, actually. The alpha female generally rejects males that try to be dominant, even if he is still respectful. Alpha males are all about being dominant and respectful
That's been true in my case for some reason I am not attracted to alpha males. I wish I was but I am not. I'll tell you example: 2 guy friends liked me, one of them was very popular, dominant, confident, straightforward and another one was his friend, he was also popular but more of the intelligent, gentle and smart guy, not that dominant but certainly not a pushover either. I fell in love with the second guy while everyone else had a crush on first one. I liked him but didn't feel the connection but raw attraction.
You characterize yourself as a alpha female but would other people say that as well? Being an alpha isn’t just about how we feel about ourselves but it’s also about what other people think. I am an alpha for example, but I know that I am an alpha because othese people respect me and come to me for advice.
You could simply have not wanted to be with a guy that every other girl would be competing with you for.
Other people respect me and come to me for advice. I make decisions where to go and what to do when I am with my friends. I hold leading positions in youth organizations. I am dominant, rebellious and can never be follower or the second best. I am very competitive, I fell in love with him because I was my best version when I was by his side. He made me happy and always supported and envouraged me, he didn't compete with me but instead believe in me, be proud of me and inspire me and ge was a bit shy and sensitive and I have a soft spot for guys like that.
Still many girls liked him, he was the best basketball player. It wasn't like I competed for him, he chased me.
Sounds like you’re an alpha to me! I suggest that you avoid thinking about this stuff too much. Sometimes things just work because they work.
The guy who coined the phrase “alpha male” in the 70’s took it all back saying it is an oversimplification and total bullshit, wolves and humans both don’t behave like that. Power can be from any number of different factors from wealth, political power, physical size, intellect, comedy, musical and other talents. That being said I like a strong woman.
There's nothing such "alpha" male or female it started with wolves but later they discovered that they were made mistakes in their studies and what they thought was the alpha male was just a father checking on his puppets so "alpha" whatever don't exist.
Say something new. You got the idea of question right? Then don't act like Greek philosopher and answer the qurstion directly.
Being aggressive in defending/validating your views is not to be seen as arrogance in any way, shape, or form. You sound ridiculous right now. She's using the term by its legitimate definition.
It's literally just a word to describe the dynamic of a social/professional situation in which a man defaults to taking the dominant role. I don't know how to say this, but men who are naturally dominant in professional/social situations exist. I don't how else to this part as well... but men who are naturally passive in professional/social situations exist as well.
It's literally just a word to describe something just as all words are used to describe something. There is literally no reason to sit there and bring wolves into the discussion every time this word is used. Or just simply deny the existence of domineering and passive men/women.
@Tony_1693 Men who love refusing the hierarchy and hate using these words are usually beta as hell.
Everyone has all these alpha rules too lmao. Dominance and leadership come in a lot of different shapes and sizes. "True alphas are x, y, and z." "True alpha's are strong silent types" "True alpha's don't say they're alpha." There's no generic layout. Lmao, it's literally all bullshit. Just use the word by its fucking definition and call it a day.
There are so many different types of introverted and extroverted personalities. Displayed confidence/aggressiveness will look much different in every type of distinct personality. Like I said, there's no generic cut-out. Betas will make up new rules to the term everytime it's used though. It simply reminds them where they stand so they'll deny the existence of alpha/beta in any applicable format from a societal standpoint all day long. It's irrational as fuck.
I literally just stated that most people use the word by its very definition. It's simply a word to describe something the social dynamic in social and professional situations. There are assertive and domineering men and there are passive and soft-spoken men. You can't deny the existence of that.
This video is just some persuasive pile of shit that we see all the time. It's not solidifying at all. It's just comical to me when betas try and demonize the alpha/beta construct by portraying alphas to be some meathead who possesses a double-digit IQ. Yeah, I like to work out, but I'm also educated and professional.

You should be able to formulate an argument on your own given that I've brought up some very solidifying points here. I don't know why you would default to showing me some ridiculous youtube video.
The fact is the alpha is a legitimate word that has a legitimate definition. This video is dissecting the construct of alpha/beta into all of this theoretical minutia that nobody recognizes or really cares about. It's simply a word to describe something just as all words are used to describe something. Are you denying the existence of dominant/assertive men and passive soft-spoken men?
I think follow your heartand nit your mind.. it sounds like. Ur already planing ur takeover of the world.. or relationship you work together as a team you both lead Feel Like Making Love when both doing your part it's an out-of-body experience
You don't get alphas and betas in human societies. If you mean a dominant then switch or someone verging more on a dominant but not quite as dominant as you would probably work best
A good match for a leader personality traits all depends on the person themselves. It's not as simple as alpha and beta
Alpha male and female can get along very well. Eg me and Sam. On the other hand alpha female and orthodox follower don't get along after some time. Eg my parents.
Who's Sam?
Aha cool.
Mm I didn't even remember you were together.
But you know I am dominant right?
There is no such thing like α male/female. Not in humans.
Come on! You are smart enough to guess what I mean is dominant male and female to say simply.
I guess I’m not. :-D If this is what you’ve meant, then you should have written it like that. :-)
And to your question… I don’t know. :-D
Well as far as canines the alpha female will only mate with the alpha male
there's always an alpha male thats out there for an alpha female.
y'all might clash but in the end he's the 1 in charge
No it dont mix you need a submisive type of guy that likes to get dominated it sounds ridiculous I know but its the way I see it :p
there's no such thing as an"alpha" female thats basically an oxymoron.
The alpha females that I know like to have sex with the alpha males but date the submissive ones
There are no such things as alphas and betas. We are not wolves.
Some one you can take into submission by surprise maybe?
Maybe you can lead the relationship
I don't want to be the leader or follower in a relationship. I don't want to suppress the masculinity of a man I am with. I don't want to have a man that I have to protect and lead all the time. However, I also don't want someone who wants to take lead in everything and who wants his partner to be submissive or a follower.
No, conflicting personalities
A beta guy.
Why do you think so?
a dom man
Yeah you nailed it!
