Cheating is cheating. Period. People needs to stop creating stupid terminology that doesn't make sense. No such thing as micro cheating! You set the standards how you want to be treated.
Anything you know would be disapproved by your partner.
1. watching porn 2. masturbating while thinking of someone else than your spouse 3. catcalling 4. speaking/joking with others in sentences with double meanings that include sexual topics 5. fantasizing about someone else than your partner
There's probably 2 dozen other ways of cheating mentally. However, some of those cheats listed above would already considered major and not minor or micro-cheating

? I'm a female and I can also say with great confidance that if you consider watching porn to be cheating, then you might just want to stay single. I personally don't understand what's so great about it if you're in a relationship where you're having sex regularly, but I also know that 95% of men watch it and I'm not gonna get hung up about it, or feel insecure about myself when it's harmless and no need to feel insecure and get bent out of shape over it. But that's just my opinion.
@lausilvz21 it has nothing to do with being in a relationship, loving your partner or having regular sex. Even in those circumstances most people will masturbate, as you very well pointed out. Some of them, like to have a little aid while doing so. Some use sex toys, some use pornography, whatever they feel maximizes their experience.
It's a deeply personal activity that can be, amongst other things, used not only for sexual gratification, but as a very effective stress relief activity.
Men and women, as groups, experience sexuality in very different ways and while women, generally speaking, need a deeper emotional connection or a specific state of mind, men are usually more simple in that regard, if I dare say so, and they respond better to visual stimuli.
Of course the excessive access to pornography can be a very dangerous thing for both your mental and sexual health, like most things in life. But in moderation is no big deal and shouldn't affect your partner's perception of how you feel about them because those two are, in the vast majority of cases, not correlated.

I don't know though, from what I've been reading apparently cheating is when you do anything without your partner, think of anyone but your partner, go anywhere without your partner, talk to anyone that isn't your partner, laugh at a joke said by someone other than your partner... Apparently I've been macro cheating and getting macro cheated on with and by every boyfriend I've ever had. Oops

If I'm correct in that "micro-cheating" is minor acts that don't lead to anything greater, then these are normal things that nobody should be worried or care about.
I'll agree that if you need to hide these things from your partner, then that's a big red flag. A big red flag that your partner is insecure and controlling and you should probably find a new partner who can behave like an adult.
I believe if you have to hide any conversations from your partner or delete any messages, that is cheating. I would fit it under the "micro cheating" category (since now apparently that is a thing), but cheating is cheating..
Cheating is cheating, I dont see any grey areas on that subject. I think once you know each other well enough, the only secrets you keep from each other are what presents you're getting them for birthday/Christmas etc.
Talking and seeing your ex or ex husband or wife. i understand if you have by them then thats different unless your seeing them without the kids or talking to them and kids are involved as in how are they doing when can i see them etc
