He stood me up and then ghosted me. What should I do?

I have been dating this guy in the next city for about 4 months and he was coming to visit me during his two week vacation. I was very excited to see him. I bought a brand new dress and got my hair and nails done. I wanted to look great for him. I even worked harder at physical therapy, when I found out he was coming and lost 15 pounds. (I have multiple sclerosis and the steroids keep me heavier.) He was supposed to arrive on Sunday, but he called and said something came up and he would be there Monday night instead. He told me to be ready and he would pick me up about 7. Well, I have arm crutches and a back brace to help me walk. It takes me a long time to get ready; so I started getting ready about 1. The closer it got to 7 the more excited I got. When 7 finally came, he didn’t show up. I thought he might be a bit late. Then 8, came and went, and 9 and 10, 11, and midnight. I sat on the couch all dressed up and cried my eyes out. He didn’t respond to any of my messages asking if he would be late or if he was still coming. I eventually cried myself to sleep on the couch. In the morning, I woke up in my dress. I tried texting him to see what happened; but no response. I haven’t messaged again since this morning. I feel so miserable and my self esteem is shot. What can I do to not feel like such a total loser? Thank you for your responses in advance.
