+1 yI like to go to the pool in the summer and know how to swim (though I'm not the best at it; I just know how to stay afloat and can move around a little, lol), but I usually don't go in areas deeper than my neck. It wouldn't bother me if my partner didn't know how to swim and I wouldn't force him to.

+1 yNot really. I enjoy hanging out with people at and in pools, but I don’t go there just to swim. Mostly just because it’s a fun group activity to do, and a pretty fun setting for dates tbh.
11 Reply1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Cannot see myself ever needing to swim. Appart from in a pool but i am 6ft so normally i can stand or just float.
I learned how to swim when i was kid kinda forgot how to. so i can swim but not greatly probably would swim better if i tried. And no this would never be important to me. That's like the same level as does your patner need to be able to ride a bike.
Jaws is cute.00 Reply- 1.2K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yI honestly can’t swim and what I can do, I can’t do well. My husband can swim. I’ve tried and tried for many years, since I was a kid. I just can’t grasp it and I have massive anxiety going further than waist deep in water. If my feet can’t touch the bottom, I panic. 😞
00 Reply Yes.
It's only important in the event that they fall in water and there is no one around. Even if there is, better to not rely on the decency and kindness of another person.
However, as a partner, it doesn't matter. It's just a useful skill to have.00 ReplyWhy does my partner need to do everything I do haha, If he can't but wants to learn it i can teach him but I don't need to share eeeeeeeeeeverything with my partner
01 Reply2.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I doggy paddle 😂 but I'd say it's an important skill for safety. I'd hope they can at least be able to stay above water. But it's not a deal breaker if they can't
01 ReplyI can't swim but I like being in water and doing water activities. I've tried learning but just couldn't get the hang of it.
It's nice to have a partner that can save me if I drown.10 ReplyI'm a very very average swimmer, I'm pretty decent at most sports, the exceptions are those that involve water or motor engines... those two things are my sporting kryptonite lol

@1828avaava1828 @WowwGirl I didn't see Toast's messages at the weekend so there's a good chance I'm talking rubbish because I'm basing it on the messages that I've seen him send before. What I would say is no matter how someone tries to reinvent themselves over the internet if they speak enough then there true personality will come through, so no matter how hard I try I'm essentially someone who tries to be a nice guy and who gets on with almost everyone but is more than capable of being awkward and getting in silly situations every now and then lol So I'm guessing that same personality comes across online as it does in real life. With Toast I got the impression (and it's not a dig just my interpretation) that he possibly didn't have a massive amount of communication with the opposite sex and certainly not friends who were female so basically no experience/reference points that he could refer to when interacting on here, so he might not be the greatest reader of signals and might over interpret interaction for affection. On the other hand I might just be over analysing and talking b@llocks... it's been known to happen in the past! lol

13 Reply446 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I swim some. It’s not important if my husband can swim or not. He can. It might be a little difficult if he couldn’t since we have a pool lol
00 ReplyI'm a really good swimmer, it wouldn't matter if my partner couldn't swim but it would be fun to compete (I'd win).
00 Reply678 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I do swim, and haven't really thought about it as a relationship issue. I'm fairly sure most women I've dated swim but for some it never really came up. So no it isn't a deal breaker.
00 ReplyYup like a orca. Lol. It's very important. Even though I could save her. I would like to know she would be able to swim If I, wasn't around. Lol
