Boyfriend snapchatting “cousin”?

So me and my boyfriend have been together for a year. He has always had this same girl on snapchat and constantly snaps her... He always says that it is his little cousin who is “16” years old. I have always been a little suspicious why they always talk... I did some snooping and saw that she isn't even 16 and she's like 20 and graduated highschool in 2018 so I dont know what to do. Why would he lie to me about her age? I dont even know if they are really cousins like actually.. he says that he's like his uncles wifes kid or something i dont know.. Should I confront him about lying about her age? I always ask why he snapchats her and he's like oh its my little cousin and brushes me off and I am kindve upset. 🙁

I think you should confront him about it, but not too directly.

I suggest you ask him who he's snapchatting and when he says "it's just my little cousin", ask him "oh okk... how old is she again?" and if he says 16, then say "oh ok..." Then pick up your phone and say "I just thought she was older cause this post on insta shows she graduated in 2018? Or maybe I'm mixing her up with someone else haha"

Just keep it on the low; try figure out what's going on without attacking him, since you don't have proper proof.

I used to talk to my cousin every day about all sorts of rubbish. That was before Snapchat though, and I don't use it but, people talk. What's it matter? If it was texting you'd think the same? If you don't trust your boyfriend, it doesn't matter who he's talking to, you'd think the same.

The issue is you don't trust him. You went snooping, you said so yourself, and that's the reason you discovered the lie. So the lie is not the issue, your lack of trust is. And that's something you should think hard about, because if you need to go snooping in his phone, you might as well break up with him now cause without trust it's not going to last.

I didn't go through his phone I looked the girl up on facebook. I had been suspicious since he constantly snapchats her. He shouldn't lie? The issue is the lie I have had trusted him for a whole year now about this girl being his cousin... and after a year and a couple months I find out its a lie and its my lack of trust that is the issue. Maybe my lack of trust is an issue because he fucking lied. You make no sense just go you aren't helpful.
