What is the point of couples massage?

What is the point of couples massage? is it really good for relationship?

I’ve had quite a few spa days over the years, often as a date.

it’s a really peaceful and restful way to relax together.

pretty much a full day getting pampered together, including getting massaged together in same room

it’s a fun day out.

I think the idea is that you can see how your partner likes to be stimulated (in a non-sexual way), and then learn a bit about how to massage them yourself. It feels good to make someone you like feel good.

LOLOL I think its kind of stupid. People usually get it on their honeymoons or on vacations. When I get a massage I would only get one with myself or myfriends. Its like a Spa bonding thing. I woudlnt get one with my significant other. lol

Do you mean a couple being massages by 2 separate people on 2 separate stations? I certainly do not see any point in that. Only thing I could force myself to imagine is that perhaps both are under each other's eyes in case anything goes too far.

@devoygf Exactly. That would only arise out of trust issues. Having said that, believe me, things are not so simple in married life. Being a "couple" for fun and pleasure is a lot different. My wife on many occasions has told me to go ahead, go for a massage; "so what if its a woman" . But I would never do that. I just dont feel its right becauae she would never like a guy getting close to her like that, let alone massage her or even hug her.
