Did I offend my boyfriend? would you be offended by this?

Me and my boyfriend are going away for the weekend. I made the hotel reservation. He offered to help with it. I turned it down and told him I appreciate it. I can take care of it and that I’m happy to pay for things, too. He has certainly paid for enough for me. He likes to help and to pay for things. This was a few hours ago and I haven’t heard from him since. I’m worried I offended him. Did I?

He shouldn’t be offended at all. Personally i think that was handled perfectly, he offered, you graciously declined. I appreciate a strong independent woman. Now if you said you’re inviting another guy than yeah that would be offensive……for most people that is.

It's possible. A lot of guys are kind of control freaks who don't like girls doing stuff for them. Then some guys are the exact opposites, lazy sods who won't do anything for themselves.

When your boyfriend offers to do stuff it's best to accept gracefully in my opinion.

I would think it's all good. It's nice to share the workload.

maybe but he's just traditional and fixed in his mind and he can't see the bigger picture i honestly think in sexual relationships anything ya do together is a date and ya should both contribute to it
