No. If they wanted someone better and had the opportunity to sleep with them, they'd make them the main person and dump you.

Cheaters cheat because they don't see the point in monogamy, or their needs are not being fulfilled in the relationship. Those are the two big reasons.

They either don't see the point of being faithful to someone (which means they don't really think sex is that important) or their needs are not being fulfilled by their partner (in which case, sex has become way more important to them).

Men typically are only as faithful as their options. Women typically cheat because mentally they are over a guy b4 they break up w/ them.

In my humble opinion:
Women generally cheat because they're lacking an emotional connection, or not being sexually satisfied at home.
Men generally cheat because they like sexual variety, or because they can live out a fantasy.

There are hundreds of studies on this question, but I don't believe the motivation is people want to "find" someone better so they can upgrade, male or female.

Sometimes, it's usually just because they are trash humans. They have no soul and need as much attention as possible to feel important.

People cheat because they are emotionally unsatisfied. That can mean something different from person to person, but for men sexual satisfaction is very closely tied to emotional satisfaction.
