Which type of regret is stronger?

The question doesn't actually make any sense to me. Not doing one thing means you did something else. Maybe I'm being a bit too analytical, but I think the worst thing is to avoid doing something you wanted to do out of fear. That's a way to regret things is to cave in to fear.
By the first part of my answer, I mean you can regret doing B in the same way you regret not doing A. They're sort of synonymous to me. I think people who are inclined more towards fear though might regret not doing their first choice. Fear was never something I struggled with so much as recklessness so I tend to regret doing my first choice more for a little while, which we might informally call doing something. I don't tend to regret things for long though. Say I punched a police officer. I'll regret it for a few days.
@Birdlegs Absent any fear, there's the whole opportunity cost thing. Maybe that thing would have resulted in yielding a life far worse than now. Or not, maybe it would have been so awesome. Can't know. I don't see what there is to regret about what we don't know would have happened. I think most people who dwell in regrets over things long past are really just unhappy with the way things are now, and there's a present and future to make things better if that's the case.
I think regret for not doing is worse, because of cowardice. Regret for doing at least can be a learning experience, so you know not to make the same mistakes. Good question!
When you keep neglect something/someone until you realize you lost the time to be enough grateful about that/them... Is the greatest regret... When every way or that person dies there left no way to resolve anything.
Purely depends. You can't compare regretion of not completing homework and regretion of burning the kitchen while cooking.

Regret for not doing something is like, you leave a box unchecked.
Doing something and then regretting is like ticking the box and then regretting it, which is not much.
Not for stock market or where your life/livelihood is at stake. Here you should do a complete analysis of the situation.
The regret from inaction is worse. Doing something and having it fail or fall short of expectations happens all the time. With the doing, at least you tested it out...
Regret for not doing. If I did something that caused a distruction, I will still able to accept it because I knew I have tried my best, not that I wanted it to happen rather than not trying at all.
Regret for doing something because that creates a traumatic memory.
Equal depending on what it is. Doing something very stupid can lead to regret.
Being a coward and not willing to take a risk on something you desired can lead to regret.
I definitely regret not takin' a shi in my company's truck because they were unbelievable aholes.
JK, but i did take a piss outside on their property.
Neither one. It's just a moment in time you made a choice. It was for a reason you can't regret something in the past it's done and over with let it go.
Doing. I have far more regrets acting off of my emotions than being upset about not taking action when I could have.
You know the outcome of the things you did.
Never for what you did not do.
They are usually equal. Nothing worse than a nagging conscience.
Real men do not regret. It's just as bad as eating soybeans or drinking margaritas
Another option.
