Could You Be In A Serious Relationship With A High-Maintenance Girl?
Shallow vain high maintenance princess types CAN be nice to look at, but I’d rather be with someone whose beauty is real on the inside than comes out of a tube or bottle on the outside. Appearance in her 20’s-30’s usually does not equate to personality in her 80’s. The kind of person whose life revolves around their appearance tends not to put much effort into much else, though there are obviously exceptions to this tendency.
Princess types tend not to be equal partners but want to be serviced and worshipped without bringing much but temporary youthful beauty to the table but expect 6ft/6pack/6figures as though their appearance in their youth alone entitles them to that for a lifetime. A mother who landed her children’s father based on her appearance and continues to play that card until it won’t play anymore is sending the wrong message to the kids, female or male.
High maintenance can get expensive, and having to either walk on eggshells around her ego identity once youth fades or keep paying for increasingly expensive lies into 40’s and 50’s until she either makes her peace or has a breakdown is not something most down to earth men want to deal with.
I was raised by a narcissist and had to cut off communication with her because of her toxicity.

No I couldn't. I think it would be not only tiring, but also a difference in the way we want to live our lives.
As I've gotten older, I've learned that I want to "work to live and not live to work." I'm really simple. For me, if I have a roof over my head, food in my stomach / fridge, a car to get me where I need to go and money for "basic" expenses (utilities, insurance, medication, etc), I would be happy. I've gone through some realizations to get me to this point. On what I want, what is truly important to me.
Oh yeah, an exotic car would be nice to have, that high lasts at most a month (I would guess). I don't want to have to "vacation." Because, if you think about it, you're vacating from the life you may not want / like just to be seen as "successful" in the world's eye. Each of us see success in a different way.

I've always wanted to do that. Work to live lifestyle.
Basically save up for a tree house deep in the woods and just live my life working day to day for survival.
My native roots probably influence a lot of my urges to be in nature.
Excellent (your native roots). Mine is more of a "pre preg" / programmed as my parents were all about climbing the corporate ladder. That is until they really got into meditation.
While I do like to look at nice things, I know that isn't what brings true happiness / joy / fulfillment.
Well I can't choose an option here but my guy is high maintenance as fuck hahahaha and I looove it. Him treating himself well and holding himself in high regard does not affectbhis ability to treat others well or hold others in high regard. I respect that he loves himself with no shame or sorrow about. It's actually from this trait about him that I realized how unhealthy my overcommittment to putting everyone else's needs and wants above my own was. To the point of affecting my mood and ability to better serve them because I was feeling so tired and drained from it all. So putting importance of self care is not a bad thing on its own. It's when people combine that with behaving condescending or like they are better than others is when it becomes unattractive. Those are two separate things.
Most of the time, they want/like high maintenance “looking” women because these ladies are generally attractive, but they want nothing to do with her expenses 😂. They just want to be seen with her in public knowing the fact that these women are desired by many men out there. They want an ego-booster, they have to pay for the consequences. Once they found out that she is not staying with them because they are not wealthy enough to spend for her, they will throw the gold digger insult. At the first place, they shouldn’t approach this type of women to begin with but well they can’t help what they like. Shallow men attract shallow women but in most cases, women will win the game. I know some men who don’t mind marrying high-maintenance women though. These man are usually the well off group.

I'm a woman but even though I'm straight, I would say hell no. High maintenance, goodbye. If I were a guy, I'd prefer a modest girl above all. High maintenance tend to be stuck up and annoying and like to complain about almost everything. Had friends who were like that. No thanks.
High-maintenance girls are pretty much just gfs who care about their appearance and want to spend time with you. Plus, if you're dating her than that means you meet her standards 🫂

It depends. I certainly *prefer* low maintenance in every way. But if the high maintenance is in the form of emotional baggage rather than just costs I'll *try* to be supportive and help her down to the ground. After all, it might not be her fault she became what she is. But she *needs* to be willing to learn and communicate and at least *try* to be the best version of herself that she can be.

High maintenance girls can seem to be intimidating because people have already made opinions some people like to dress well have good taste in fashion take good care of self they are no different than any other human being it would be wise to know someone for their values and beliefs and then get into relationship
I have once been with a high maintenance girl and I can tell you that she was very self centered and acts like the whole world revolves around her. I'm pretty sure that not all high maintenance girls are like this, but I would not take that risk again.
Most high-maintenance girls are direct gold diggers. Spending every day in a salon for everything takes time and costs money. Those girls either generally don't have proper jobs and do TikTok insta videos or some kind of sex, adult work. Most of those I have seen either leech on daddies or boyfriends' money. Guys pay for that as those girls are hot to fuck but if you want to settle down that will be monstrous. Those girls also never know cook/clean or any adult stuff as they never had to take any responsibilities in life.
I am talking from personal exp. One of my cousins is like that. She spends so much money on clothes, and always stays in five-star hotels, restaurants, and all. No degree, no job, little earning from modeling which isn't clearly held that lifestyle. But her father is a dentist and she's dating a pilot so they are spending money. I know from family functions she can't even boil eggs or make coffee properly. Several girls I know who are high maintenance it's always daddy's money or guys spending a lot of them for sex or they are seeing feet pics or charging money for chatting. I am not into those girls, I love low-maintenance, chilled-out girls who are very smart and can hold conversations except clothing.
No i would think it's a potential risk to date them. They are often greedy in my opinion. How ever i have dated a few 1950s style nerds, and they tend to be high maintenance in their own way. Them red dresses and other Audrey Hepburn types of styles are some expensive stuff. But they are different then these "Instagram" "Kardashian" types. I prefer a 1950s high maintenance then a fake rich Instagram model wannabe high maintenance.

I mean, If I genuinely vibe with them otherwise, sure. My ex was that way, designer clothe, makeup, and all that. But she was relatively sensible about it. But she is otherwise an extremely smart and caring girl despite her issues otherwise. So yea, definitely would with a high maintence girl

Yep. And even despite everything we always seem to reconnect and its almost like we never stopped talking. The connection is almost unreal. Always can cheer the other up almost instantly, helping each other through our respective issues, understanding the others issues. Even now its like that, despite having not spoken for almost 9 months. (Due to her being with another guy after she left me. She hates the guy now)
It really is. Definitely the type of connection you have only once or twice in a lifetime I feel. Wonder what the oddds are of us getting romantic again, considering how she'd slip up and call me babe and then try to back track. And how she almost seemed apologetic for not being in a position for a relationship following the prick rebound
I think there are more important things in life than appearance. Spending too much time to once appearance seems a bit futile to me. Of course everyone has the right to choose for themselves. No offense meant.
I've been in relationships with high-maintenance and low-maintenance women. I can survive both, but it's much more pleasant to have an independent low-maintenance woman who can pretty much take care of herself.
High maintenance is is great IF she maintains control over schedule and is still contributing to in all other areas of the relationship and is actively participating and not just looking at phone/ mirror/ etc

Girls who are always late or narcissistic are definitely undesirable.
I was married to one for 17 years, it can be annoying at times, always taking too long to get ready and always afraid to leave the house with no makeup even though she never needed it , but she always looked good going out

Yeah her skin tone was a little darker than yours so she looked fine to me without makeup on but wouldn’t dare go without or being dressed up. I would just tell her to be ready by a time that was earlier than we needed to be since I knew we would be late waiting on her, lol
I started getting up at 5am on days where I knew I would be going out. Just to ensure I was finished primping and dressing up before events started happening that day. I don't like people waiting on me to get ready because I know I take forever lol.
When I still lived with my parents, I would always get fussed out by my mom for taking too long in the bathroom 🤭
I cannot and will not deal with a high maintenance woman. I don't have the patience. Give me medium to low maintenance woman any day... both of our lives will be stress free

I like a girl who can do her outfits and hair and nails and everything but if 5 minutes after she comes to a social event she is thrown in the pool and chips a nail... either she smiles and laughs... this is good... or she gets upset about it... this is disgusting personality to me.
If she expects a lot out of you and you give it all you got, every single day, it will make you into a better man with a fulfilling life. Low standards women in my opinion aren't great supporters. Every person need that push to reach their potential. If you're even coming close, obviously you want a low maintenance woman.
