Should I contact my exes ex girlfriend?

My ex decided to email his exes job with an email to get her fired, because he’s bitter. But somehow I got into the mix. She contacted my friend and started accusing me of trying to get her fired when I had nothing to do with it and I have the proof. She also said she’s been getting weird calls. How would I get her number? And apparently someone created a fake dating profile of her. I’m in a whole different country… and I’ve never used any dating sites. Ever. I know him he’s spiteful and completely petty. He spoke to me and others about wanting to get back at her. He’s just mad because someone finally didn’t take his cheating, manipulation, and stealing. I’m assuming he somehow blamed me and she’s saying he has no idea what she’s talking about. When I know the truth but everyone is telling me to not say anything or contact. It just hurts that this person has this opinion of me and doesn’t even know me. It’s also extremely detrimental to spread lies like this that is untrue. But she obviously thinks I’m capable of something like this because he’s spread lies about me to make himself look like an angel, but she doesn’t even know all the years of torment he put me through. What should I do? Should I let it go? Or get in contact?

I would just let it go. That's why she's an ex right she probably already knows the type of person he is. Rumors will start to happen. You could contact her if you'd like but why bother. He seems toxic it's best to move on and not let it get to you. You know it wasn't you and your conscious is clean

I like this a lot. It’ll bring more peace instead of adding more to the problem. Thank you for this reminder of learning to let things go. I know who I am so why should it bother me. I guess just not being understood can be hurtful. Thank you again!

Yes it can be but her opinions about you shouldn't matter. She will think whatever she wants, plus she's not even a person you'd want to build a friendship with so trying to prove it to her will just leave you feeling tired, stressed etc

I'd contact her. Show her the proof and block and move on. His friends don't want him in trouble because to me he still loves the ex..

His friends are my friends too actually. They know it’s him too because they know who I am even before the proof. They told me I should ignore it because she’s looking for someone to blame and use as evidence and also for me to move on and not let it get to me. Somehow they got into the drama too. I think I should contact too to clear my name. I wouldn’t say love not with what he was doing to her. He’s mad that someone played him like he plays everyone else and gets away with it.

Yeah.. that’s the hurtful part. When you are just minding your business and get attacked out of nowhere. It’s hard to accept. That’s why I came here for advice. Thank you for your advice

An ex is past history. Don't get involved. If you do, she might make bad present and future history.
