Did you lose respect for your partner when they took you back, after you cheated on them?

Very specific question. For people who have cheated and tried to get back together. If you succeeded, did you lose respect for your partner for having accepted it?

I'm in a disagreement with my friend. Personally I think at least in the case of girls cheating, if he takes her back the woman loses respect for him.

With guys I don't think it's so much a respect thing so much as just recovering trust.
