I’m embarrassed to tell my boyfriend I won’t be able to contact him because my house won’t have any electricity?

My dad lives in a foreign country and has a house there. He doesn’t stay there much so he didn’t pay the electricity bill. I’ve been there without electricity before, it’s fine, I use solar lights at night and it has running water so I keep the place very clean. Soon I’ll be going there for 3 weeks. My boyfriend wants to stay in regular contact. However , due to the lack of electricity I won’t be able to charge my phone that much- I usually charge it in cafes. It’s kind of embarrassing to admit you’ll be staying in a house with no electricity. Should I just tell him or make up an excuse as to why I can’t contact hun that much?

There are some fairly cheap solar cellphone chargers on Amazon. Just tell him and maybe he'll buy one for you. We dudes usually don't give a shit about that kind of shit. That bullshit is the type of bullshit chicks get all judgmental about.
