Why do they keep working him into conversation?

The male co workers have been working one specific other male co worker into conversation telling me about his other job most of the time then one about said co workers taste in music. The co worker is typically friendly but I think he shows signs he likes me, which I may be reading too much into it.
Why do you think they keep bringing him up in general conversation with me?

If this individual is someone that you might be interested in and is available, perhaps you could ask a couple of questions or put yourself in a situation to be introduced.

Thank you. We’ve been introduced and have worked together for a couple of years. I thought I’d let him define what kind of relationship, platonic or otherwise he wanted from me. I’ve had a bad track record of telling men I was interested in them.
