How hard is it to be in a relationship with a girl with borderline

I dated somebody who was either bipolar or she had BPD. Every few weeks she would get violent. She bit me do hard I still have the scar. She was abused as a kid by her parents and her brother did weird stuff to her too. Sometimes she would get drunk and say the most awful stuff to me. I knew she has issues but most of he time she could be really a sweet kid. Maybe the fact that she was so broken that I wanted to fix her and that was the big attraction,

My girlfriend has a good heart has been in therapy she knows she has a problem and i'm there for her... i just have to make sure it doesn't kill me😊

I would never hit a woman. I never hit her but when she would go off on me I would just restrain her until she calmed down. One night she got away from me and hit her head on my kitchen table. She was bleeding pretty good but I didn't want to call the ambulance. Finally I got the bleeding to stop. I was really freaked out. We broke up soon after that. She just stopped returning my calls and when I finally went to see her her roommates said she moved out and didn't know where she was . I think they kicked her out.
I moved myself right after that and I never knew whatever happened to her.

No that feeling but some people can't be saved just think of yourself and no that's not selfish

You're referring to BPD? Then I'm gonna be real to you about it... you should never date anyone with a mental illness. I know you may like her and I know how that feels to have that. However, speaking from experience, someone with a mental illness like BPD are problematic for people who just want peace and love.

Yes indeed…as long as they are agreeable to it. And to agree, they must admit they have a problem. My ex-wife was too proud and we ended up parting after 19 years.

I completely understand. I hope I’m not prying but especially if you have children, try to avoid divorce. Move out if you must but stay close and keep paying the bills. Show your face everyday for 15-30 minutes so no one can charge you with abandonment. Most importantly maintain a constant presence in your children’s lives whether it be through sports, after school activities, church etc. Doing all of these things will allow you time to consider your life alone or to continue on with your spouse. It will preserve your relationship with your children and protect you from violating any laws.
