I think honestly you’re not weird, friendship is meant to be based on trust and respect. If you intend loyalty as the support and the respect for the friends, I agree totally.
If loyalty means property, that is to say “you can’t go out with others because you’re my friend and you’re mine”, that’s sick and insane. Friends has to be persona you get along with and they don’t have to be a bother or a problem.

No. True friendship does require loyalty. I'm big on loyalty.
If someone dises me or stabs me in the back, they are not a friend. True friends don't have to agree on everything but still respect and support each other.

I would say its more understandable if you meant trust rather than loyalty

If a friend befriended someone that did you wrong. To me that’s disloyalty. And makes me think I can now befriend anyone that perhaps they didn’t want me to befriend

See i would prefer to call that trust, you trust that they won't do that and they broke that trust which is deeper... wanting loyalty makes it sound a bit "all about you" whereas trust is perhaps a nicer way to put it :)

You aren't unreasonable, but you have to consider how much loyalty is realistic to ask of other people.

There is a fine line. But loyalty is a certainty of a good connection with people. People don't like rats

No. It used to be the norm. Some individuals just don’t see it that way anymore. It’s a shame.
