I think an LDR can work if there’s a real light at the end of the tunnel and not just hopes/fantasies for the future, or even if there’s a workaround for the distance such as visiting each other. But the light at the end of the tunnel would be a solid plan for either one person to move closer, or living together in general. But I do believe that an LDR with no true end in sight is a waste of time.
Depends upon the specifics. If for example one partner is deployed or is on a work assignment across the country, that can make sense.
But I see people refer to an internet friendship with someone they've never even met, sometimes never even talked with or Facetimed, as a "LDR." Sorry, that is a fantasy. The person might be decades older than claimed or of a different gender. Or might be some young teen playing a game.
No, if both people are invested in the relationship and there is a plan to be together in the future a Long Distance Relationship can maybe work.
Unless they both plan on meeting, getting together and have realistic goal in a set timeframe, most of the times LDRs don't work and are a waste of time.

Wait, what? No, some long-distance relationships actually work out. Maybe only 10-20% of them, but still.
I do not agree. It can just as much bullshit, lies and fairytales as a relationship in person if you're unlucky.
yes, took the words right outta my mouth. you can only romanticize texts/phone calls. i mean, what is the point?
one thing i dislike most is LDR has way higher possibility of infidelity
Not always but seems usually to be the case where one is keeping their options open while keeping a safety net.
LDR n SDR both are waste of time...
Only idiots stupid believe in relationship.
Well I think anyone that enters into a LDR are deluding themselves from the very beginning.
I don't know why I would.
No, I don't agree with that at all.
Can't knock it if you don't try it.
