I have a guy friend that I have been going together to my apartment's gym for about more than a month and even though the first week I met him he told me that he was "talking" with someone, I have felt that he has been sending me signals that he likes me. At the gym, I often catch him looking at me and when our eyes meet he kind of smirks or laughs shyly. Sometimes he just laid his back against the wall and talked to me while he watched me loft also. He is quite polite as well since he always opens the door for me and is respectful. He has asked me to go shopping a few times after we went to the gym at night and when we talked on the way to the store I always felt like a soft and romantic vibe to the situation. He also asked me if we could go to the jacuzzi together after the gym and when we were in there alone at night while it was raining, he took off his shirt shyly and I felt his heart thumping when I helped him take his necklace off while he was shirtless! Long story short when my dad caught us in the jacuzzi and when he was practicing introducing himself to my dad, he accidentally almost called himself my boyfriend instead of friend and the occasional awkward silence seemed like it was because of the romantic vibe in the jacuzzi. He also never mentioned the person he was talking to ever while we were together so I decided to check how he feels for me by trying to hold his hand while on a walk. I barely touched his hand but he pulled away and asked kind of surprised what I was doing and that i couldn't hold his hand since he was talking with someone. That someone apparently lives far away and doesn't go to my school. I don't understand, he also doesn't want to go to the gym anymore with me.. Was he flirting with me or did I misunderstand him? Should I try talking to him again since I really honestly didn't want to lose him since we got to become close friends and I miss our friendship? Help me please this is so complicated:((
