Is falling in love overrated nowadays?

While you might see ''I'll love you forever'' stories in movies or Romeo and Julia play, in real life is falling in love overrated?

Too many people don't end up having kids with that person. Or were in a toxic relationship but excused it with ''but I love him/her'' BS. What was that ''my love of my life'' dedication and words for then? All for nothing, waste of time. It's just infatuation and irrational emotions.

I'd rather have a good person I'm compatible with than experience falling in love but be miserable with a toxic person.

Yes it's overrated. If you fall in love with a toxic person then it's indeed a waste of time. You get stuck with the wrong person who has no good qualities all because of the irrational chemicals in your brain.

It's better to care and love someone but not fall in love. That way you can decide when to love and make better decisions. By then you can actually analyze your partner in a realistic way (not ''oh you're my prince charming'' BS) and see what are their good qualities, their goals, if you guys have common interest, if he wants kids, etc.

I don't think most women really want a relationship today. They want worship. They'll stay with a guy that gives them the worship they crave. But they don't really want to contribute anything really. And when the worship starts to dry up they move along to the next man. Sorry, that's not love. I don't need to adopt a woman to take care of. I'm quite content to live my life and be happy, thank you. 🙂

If women start to change I'll revisit this subject.

Did you read what I said? Where did I say that? I said "most women don't want a relationship nowadays". It isn't anybody fault. Lol
I wouldn't waste my time with a woman that doesn't want me and doesn't want to be with me, That's all.

🤣🤣🤣 well now I see why "falling in love" is such a sore subject to you. If you tell every guy what they "should have said". I have no problem with how I am. I didn't type "people" because I don't need to change🙂. And I'm not trying to date any guys. So, that just leaves women.
I think you're taking more personal than it wasn't intended. I simply meant I take what women are willing to give me. If what they're willing to give me is unappealing I'll opt for remaining single.

But the whole ''I love you to the moon and the stars'' is overrated. That doesn't last forever and honestly, that's not love; that's an obsession and idolizing the person.

Agape love is a self-sacrificial and chosen Love. 1 Corinthians 13 is a great example:
If I speak in the tongues of men or of the angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or clanging cymbal…
It list all the “good things you have or have done” are of Nothing if no Love.
Faith hope snd love…love being the greatest.
