My dad doesn't want my fiance to sleep in my room, is he too old fashioned?

I still live with my parents. My fiance lives in another country. He will be visiting me. At first my dad was fine with him staying in my room so he didn't need to stay in a hotel. He will arrive soon and now my dad suddenly changed his mind. He wants me to sleep in a separate room. It's so unfair! I was looking forward to cuddling with him every night for a year now. Is my father being reasonable?

What bugs me is that he agreed before 😭 And I have expected this for a year and now sudden change of plans... It's so frustrating! I shouldn't have looked forward to it.

You still live with your parents so they get to make the rules.

If you are 25-29 you are plenty old enough to decide who you will sleep with. But it's not your house and it's understandable why your father doesn't want your boyfriend sleeping in your room.

What does your mother think? Maybe she is the one who made him change his mind.

Get a hotel somewhere. Then you can do what you want.
