Why do men change how they act in a relationship from the way they were at the beginning?

It really depends. Sometimes men will get more comfortable with you and act differently accordingly. What you're probably talking about is the fact that a man was acting fake or working harder than he normally would in order to get a girl in a relationship/bed and then once that is achieved they either start showing who they really are, or they stop trying because they think they have the woman locked in.
