My boyfriend has asthma, is there anything I should know?

I have already asked him, that if he has an attack or is having some sort of problem what I should do and he tells me not to worry but I can't help it. For those who have asthma, what would you need your significant other to do if you have an attack or are put in a certain situation? I just want to make sure I know what to do if any situation arises and he isn't in control and i,m put in the position to keep him safe. I'm getting more worried that something will happen seeing as he's been having trouble as of late because his father continues to somehow fail to get him inhailers even though he NEEDS them. :(

well if he doesn't have an inhailer and it gets to the point where he is having extreme trouble breathing you can take him to the er. to help regulate his breathing.
