I won’t. How about you?
+1 yThere's only one I'd consider another go with. But her current husband would have to be out of the picture completely. As in, dead. And even then, the odds I'd be able to get her to Florida from China are very slim. And what of their daughter? I'd have a hard enough time providing for the gal and myself, let alone help raise a child that isn't mine. I'd try it, but I'd be worried a lot about money.
But until any of that even becomes an issue, I'll prefer she stay with him, where she'll at least have some level of financial security, and be able to raise her daughter in a traditional family.
Outside of that, girls I cut off for being too crazy have for the most part gotten worse, not better. The last thing I need is to try to patch things up with one that joins Antifa or something, and rewards my kindness with a bazooka to my bedroom window! I'd rather just stay far away from anyone that far gone. Scott Adams metaphorically took a bullet for his "just get away" speech, but credit where it's due.
Some folks, only God can fix them. I'm past the point of entertaining the idea that I can do the same. I already know if I can't reason with her, then she's immune to one of the greatest tools in my arsenal. It'd be like trying to educate a mad dog.

+1 yIt depends. If she left me for another, but it did not quite work out with them, then I'd give her a pass.
However, if she is just alone and notices it was better with me then I can of course understand that better. We need to remind ourselves what lead to the breakup and see if we can resolve this. There has to be some real progress to get to a new base for a relationship. Otherwise the same issues will just come back.11 Reply
Nope! He was talking to other woman when we were dating. I'm all for having friends who are girls. Doesn't bug in the slightest. But when innocent conversations are not so innocent anymore... and i happen to see an inappropriate message come up when he's showing me a YouTube video. That he forgot the notifications were on... yes there is a problem... plus his mom was a bitch and controlled every single move in his day.. say we wanted to go to the beach , she would make up a bunch of things for him to do so we wouldn't be able to go to the beach that day... she also won't let her kids move out, she would guilt trip them if they brought moving out to her.. now they all now have tiny houses on their parents property... she made her husband take her last name... she also didn't allow her daughter to take her husband's last name... she made her daughter's husband to stop being a election and become a ambulance driver because she wanted her husband. Her son. Her daughter. Her son in law all to be 1st responders..

+1 yI am single, and if my ex so much as dials my number? He's getting blocked (assuming he already isn't...99.9 percent sure he is unless he got a new number).
I'm very happy to say I'm not desperate or needy enough to EVER get with him again! Especially a cheater; I respect myself too much to get with someone like that. When I got with him, I was lonely, desperate, had poor self esteem, and just wanted a boyfriend to say I was with someone. It seems like in your 20s, and being around peers that are dating or engaged, you feel pressured to date or find someone.
Thank goodness I outgrew that stage of my life. Nah, rather be single than with someone just for the sake of saying I'm in a relationship.

+1 yI think - no.
He betrayed me and caused me the most painful 8 months of my life.
I will never be the same to him, the innocent love I had for him is dead and it’s coupled with the hatred now.
He was my family. My everything and he betrayed. He will never come back, but even if he did, you can’t make the dead alive and I am dead for him. Love as I knew it, is dead as well.

+1 yNever. We just aren’t compatible and wasting my time would be silly and unwise.
Our biggest issue, he’s a sexist so his morals aren’t exactly morale. And yes, being a sexist is a huge deal. It determines which party you support, if you support Women’s Rights, view women as subhuman instead of a person deserving of basic human rights, etc. Why would I date that again?10 Reply- 665 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yI would not. My last ex and I broke up because she always complained about life, but never did anything to improve things. Lots of... I should to this and I should do that... but never tried.
She very much thought it was up to me and our relationship to make her happy. Like a codependence thing.
I doubt things have changed and I've seen her with a new guy only a week or two later.

+1 yNo thanks! She's already proven to me that I can't trust her!! She wants to be in love with money, let her go marry a rich guy!! She had more money than me and she came from a rich family but, I never ONCE asked or insisted she pay my way in any of our endeavors over those 10 years!! The only times she bought me expensive stuff (2 or 3 times, if that), she did it because SHE WANTED TO!! NOT because I asked her to!! HER money didn't mean much of ANYTHING, to me!!

+1 yNope. Exes are exes for a reason. In the hypothetical situation that ex boyfriend #2 came knocking on my door, saying he made a mistake and proposes well then I might have to think about that one. Otherwise, he can take a hike and continue remaining permanently out of my life.
10 Reply 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Depends on why they’re your ex. I assume “you left them” so if they didn’t fix the reasons why you left, of course you would not go back.
but if they left you and changed their mind…it MIGHT be a different situation.

+1 yLol maybe. My last ex kinda changed my perspective on women a bit. Plus I already know I can't trust her. So what does it cost me to take her back until I find someone better? She basically proved that's all she wants from me anyway.
10 Reply If it was someone I loved who hadn't cheated on me/been with another person, I would. (E. g. if we separated for logistical reasons or other problems that got resolved or accepted as such along the way).
