Lonelier and completely unbound by the paradigm everyone else lives in. No matter what your morals are, you do still have morals, and some version of a social contract you buy into.

To be completely without empathy is to stand apart from humans as a society. We're a social species, without rules, guilt, and the ability to enforce them, our ability to function as a species breaks down.

Being a true sociopath will prevent you from doing many things other people do naturally, while allowing you to naturally do many things other people cannot do. The only restraint put on them by society would be the practical reasons to follow rules, like fear of being caught, or more importantly the alignment with their own goals and benefits from doing so.

Some people cannot learn empathy, some people lose it, that's irrelevant, it places you outside the circle of the majority if you cannot exercise it.

Some people have a hard time understanding or being empathetic for whatever reason. It doesn't necessarily mean they're a bad person! While yes, empathy is usually learned through observations and interacting with others, some people have to be taught empathy.

…usually someone with anti-social personality disorder, sociopathy, or psychopathy. Everyone else is capable of empathy on a certain scale, and even though lacking empathy is common in those listed disorders, they are still capable of it depending on where they fall on that spectrum.

A human without empathy is just a human without empathy. We're all different, so you can't expect everyone to conform to some ridiculous and arbitrary standard of what it means to be human. Dehumanisation is the first step on the ladder towards persecution and genocide. For evidence of this, just note how pro-abortionists like to say that what is being killed actually isn't a big deal, because it's apparently not a child anyway. How convenient for them, and their lack of conscience.

A narcissist. I used to live with one, and they show about as much empathy as a cat showing mercy to the mouse he's about to devour. They laugh at other people's struggles and misfortune. They don't care what it's like to get sick, unless it happens to them. If you have a problem, to them, it's not a problem.
They show no empathy towards anyone. They pretend too, but they don't.

I agree with the other Anon's answer.. I wouldn't say that someone, who judges people based on their sexual orientation, gender, age and sees women as inferior etc... is particularly empathetic.

Empathy is the ability to take a different perspective. Being able to imagine and understand what things are like for someone else
