You should feel sorry for people with it.
You cannot have them in your life but they aren't evil people
It's the same thing with many pedophiles.
They aren't evil people. They just got really messed up and damaged as children.
Many of them are victims. And we treat them like that are garbage and monsters.

If they are actually narcissist then it's to manipulate considering these people don't have the power in their brains to feel sympathy for others but themselves so it's either to manipulate someone or because they are just feeling bad for themselves, not cause they feel bad how they treat others.
