Is the change my boyfriend showing permanent?

My boyfriend never showed emotional support whenever I needed him.. this relationship have been always felt as the surface level or shallow type.. After complaining about the same thing for a year for about 5/6 times he finally has started showing some emotional support but is his change permanent? Coz I needed to complain about the same thing for too many times.. Why didn he provided me that the first time I expressed my desire for it? Will he be same or take me for granted after getting married? please give some advice.

Why would it be permanent? If he isn’t showing vulnerability towards you, it’s because he doesn’t truly want to. You are better off not forcing that aspect because this aspect should always come naturally. His change is to please you, but it is not a long term change unless if he truly has addressed and taken accountability to that being a problem about him
