My ex broke up with me because I wouldn't let him stay with me after a month of dating.. he's upset because he has to work longer hours and find housing.. 🙄.. I have my kids here and wouldn't let a man live with me unless we were exclusive and getting married... so he ended things with me because of this and I asked for sometime fo myself after being in college 40 hours and hearing him complain about his problems for a month... it was emotionally draining... I asked him how am I responsible for his life ar 45 years old?

I've NEVER in my life lived with a boyfriend. I don't live with temporary people that come and go. If he wants to share a house with me well then he better make me his fiance at least, along with a wedding date. This is coming from a Latina woman with some traditional values.

Exactly. A boyfriend is just that, a good friend that has free access to all the benefits of a relationship but wants no responsibilities and can walk out the door at any moment. That's NOT a commitment.
If a man ever tells you that you don't need a piece of paper to commit, how boyfriend and girlfriend Is the same commitment or ever calls you "my beautiful wife" without proposal, do not walk, RUN out the exit door. That's another way of them getting more access to free sex without commitment, hooking up.

probably he was pressuring you but you should be relieved, such a guy who did not like the you, is gone.
