Is he your boyfriend or just some guy you’re talking to? Either way, he don’t sound like the right guy nor worth investing in long-term. I’m sorry, it’s hurtful though… yes it is break up words. When someone tells you that he’s not worth your energy or don’t have his shit together to be with you, believe them and let them go. You want someone who’s willingly to stay, make it work, and be ready for you. The last guy I was seeing said something similar to this…. What did I do? Simply let him go despite it hurts. And until now (after almost 2 months) he’s still trying to talked to me like over 7 times, which I’m not really responding to him. Just know your worth and what you’re looking for, which ain’t this.

I would definitely say he has had second thoughts about things between the two of you, or he has met somebody else, or is taking somebody else. Honestly, I would move on and not make an attempt to talk to him unless he speaks to you first. Otherwise, you are too good for him.
Let him go. Those are break up words indeed. Let him fix his life, he deserves to be well and at peace with himself, right?
