Why would a girl put in more effort after the fact?

Like it just messes with my brain how much effort this girl is putting into her move with her friend then when we were living together like we shared a dog who is coming with me and he was mostly in a crate at work when we at work and now for her new dog she’s taking a week off work to spend time with. It’s like I don’t understand this was early in the relationship where people wouldn’t be burned out. So why was there a serious lack of effort was I just as a person not worth the effort or does this say more about her personality
