Speaking from personal experience I think it's fair to say that many guys say that but few really mean it and that refers to people in general. There are those who value words and those that don't and when things go wrong it's only then that you will see if he means it. a lot of people can just wake up one day and decide they no longer want to be in a relationship with you and not for ant specific reason.
