They can if that's what they want. Those who claim they can't just don't actually want it. They "fail" because they tried to do it even though that's not what they wanted and they know that. I understand the pressure of being into commited relationship as it's what is the best when children are involved though, a lot of people who want to sleep around for life end up forcing themselves because they want kids.
