How are Asian guys in a relationship?

Asian guys or Girls who have dated Asian guys.

I'm interested in Asian guys for as long as I remember. I'm Hispanic and I don't know if they are interested. I've never talk to one cause I'm shy and also because I just can't help but blush every time I see one. Anyways, I've never dated an Asian guy(But I wish too) and I will like to know how they really are in an a relationship. How they act or what they do. Are they talkative or shy. Idk. But that's why I want you guys or girls to tell me.(: Please and Thank you ^-^

I've asked the SAME question about Asian girls... and I haven't got any useful responses AT ALL. What little responses I get assume I'm some white dootch bag who's just trying to get into "submissive" azn gir's pants. I just happen to a Brit working abroad in Asia and find there is a REMARKABLE difference between Asian and west. european or American relationship styles (despite Television and hollywood). After many years working abroad, I believe I will go back to an OECD country to find romance/a wife.

Also I think the bulk of users here are teenagers from Western Europe or America, so I doubt you'll get real Asian responses, and if you do it will be from a select group of Asians who may be "westernized."

Asia is itself huge, it can include Indians or the more "oriental" peoples like Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indonesians and even some might consider Russians.

Personally I find Asian (Chinese-Korean-Japanese) people are not direct in romance, as they are not direct in board rooms or business deals or common speech. I would not expect them to be upfront about their feelings, and would not expect them to appear confident, and this might be mistaken as shyness or meekness or being timid when it's not. Not talkative at all. They don't make the 1st move (women anyway).

Asian men I've spoken to in China and Singapore tend to be shy about approaching the girl, I've heard comments like "i don't want to call her too much because I fear she thinks I like her," and my response might be "yes you like her, so ask her out," but the male responds that is not how they date.

I've also met men that like girls for years and years, and who show it just by wishing the girls happy birthday (a once a year thing).

By their own admission, I have found oriental peoples racist in that they do not like dark skin, so they might be less inclined to date Indians/Africans/Arabs/Malays. They tend to stick to themselves.

I am a Malay myself, and I wouldn't say we are racists, its just the oriental way of looking 'fairer skin' as pure, innocent, etc. this thinking is reflected on many areas say, cosmetics- you might find Asian women look for anything that will whiten their skin with spf 30 ++, while western women prefer to be sun-tanned brown. also, in chinese new year, the color red is considered as something that brings prosperity, while black- well, depressing I guess.

It varies. Some Asian guys are pretty much the same as your average white guy.

Others are a bit more reserved and less outwardly emotional. This is probably more true for Chinese more than for other Asian ethnic groups. For instance, I think that that Vietnamese and Filipino guys are very heart-on-the-sleeve emotional, but Chinese tend to be more stoic.

Of course, there are other guys who aren't even Asian so we shouldn't generalize too much, but your average Asian guy is probably a lot different than your average Hispanic guy.

Another thing to keep in mind is that a lot Asian guys (obviously not all) have overbearing parents, and that will probably become an issue at some point in your relationship. I think that Asian parents (esp. Asian mothers) try to exert a lot more control over their kids...so don't expect the guy to immediately introduce you to his parents, and when he does, pray that they like you.

I'm an Asian girl who have dated only Asian men. There are many different type of Asian guys so it's kind of hard to tell you what they are like in a relationship. There are many hot Asian guys in asia not in the U.S. unfortunately... but some are really nice and caring while others are jerks... -_- They are similar to any other race.

They say Japanese guys don't show much affection in public and that Korean are the opposite. That they like to show they are couple in public and are most affectionate. I don't know about Chinese. Oh well, it was just curiousity to see if there were any difference between Asians and other races on how they treat their girlfriend

Asian guys are similar to any other guy. You have some who are arrogant, sweet, romantic, and abusive. The stereotypes attached to Asian men makes it harder for them to be outgoing or admired. Mostly, people think we're funny or fun to hang out with, at least that happens to me a lot.

The most of the latin are like that, but they don't ask a guy for a date because the girl is the only who is supposed to be shy not the boy. (i'm not from the old school).

I know. But I've notice they are so shy and quiet. And more themselves when they are in their comfort zone with there friends. Its hard to know how they really are.
