Just a simple, kind, lightly and tenderly pitched: notices he's getting ready and all that
"Oh. Where're you going? 😊😊"
In a kind and respectful manner. She shouldn't ask him like he has a bedtime and should be home when she says so. She should always be respectful and show him that she respects him and the man of the house and of her life. I know this might sound odd, typical, or "chauvinistic" as some might say, but if you want a happy marriage, then this is what you do.
Don't talk down to your man. Never do that.

Ok, you don't have to tell anyone where you are going. But if you happen to end up in the hospital badly wounded or sick, please don't call her for help, cause then you'd have to tell you what hospital you are at.
Just be your own man and take care of yourself in the hospital. - +1 y

+1 yI mean... The possible options should be known before the marriage occurs. If this kind of question has to be asked, something went very wrong at the initial phase of the relationship. Unless... After a few years, He starts coming back home drunk and not in high spirits. That might invoke the question whether there is anything eating Him out... Oh well... It's not exactly a question of where He's going, I guess. Marriage is for responsible people.

+1 yA husband and wife should be as one, and there should be no secrets between them for the most part. So therefore, it should not be an invasion of privacy to ask her husband where he is going. Now if he is carrying a box of condoms, that is especially true.

Where do you think you are going with THOSE? 00 Reply

u +1 yI think it is appropriate for spouses to ask each other where they are going, when they will be home, etc.
10 Reply 1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It's not like she's asking her for her approval or permission. It's just a simple question when he's getting ready to go somewhere.
Now, if the shoe was in the other foot and she was going out somewhere and he asked where she was going, he would expect to know.
See, with men though, they are subject to lie about where they are going - which is usually the case.19 Reply- +1 y

WOW! Your wife has to have your permission to be "allowed" to ask where you're going? Well, I can tell you are abusive and if she's not too afraid to leave you she won't stay married to someone like you. If you're trying to prove your masculinity, that's not the way to do it!
You must be doing something you don't want her to know about - either you have another woman or drugs - dealing or selling. Otherwise she should be more than welcome to call her own husband, or ask where he's going. You probably lie to her anyway if she asks you that.
All of this is really familiar to me! Same kind of abnormal situation! He was cheating and doing things with drugs. If you happen to go somewhere and she doesn't know where you are and you are unlucky and get poisoned by Fentanyl she won't know where her dead husband is right?

@sage2021 Lol, I certainly am not foolish enough to want a wife, as there's no real benefit of marriage to men. The question was hypothetical, and no, I wouldn't allow anyone to ask me where I'm going, as an adult man I go where I want when I want. I can't speak to your issue, but my advice to you would he to try to select men that aren't doing drugs. Hope this helps.

@Vegasrunner
I don't see why you keep saying that her asking where you are going is asking for permission or approval to leave the house.
Now, if she says "You need to tell me first where you're going and if it's ok with me if you go" that would be asking for approval. Or if you said "May I go down to the strip club and hang out with the guys for a while? That's asking for permission.
Why are you so hung up on this "I'm a grown man" thing? Did something happen in your childhood where you wanted to go places and someone told you no! "You can go when you're a grown man, but not while you're living in my house"!!! 🤬 - +1 y
@sage2021 If she's one of my women, then she wouldn't ask at all because she knows the result. I didn't spend my life building value to have to explain myself to anyone let alone a women who has been given her value by life. TY for proving my point, in my house I come and go as I please, not sure what's so complicated about that.
- +1 y
I agree with you. Men protect their women so a man is within all his rights to ask where she's going and with who. In fact-- his woman (not implying that his monogamous) SHOULD already be going to her man, telling him where she's going and with and why and IF-- I'll emphasise: 'IF' his okay with her venture. This is the way it should be. She shouldn't walk up to him and tell him: "Ey-- I'm going here, there, and it's with my girlfriends. See you at 10."
You're joking yourself. Learn to have respect for your man.
Women, on the other hand, don't have the same kind of authority and reasoning to ask and want to know where their man is going. She can ask if she's genuinely asking, and genuinely wondering where his going, but she can't demand. She is HIS woman and he is her MAN. Whatever kind of asking she does, it better come in a soft, sweet and kind; honouring way to her husband/man/boyfriend. You don't come 'ere shouting. - +1 y
Yes of course. If you Mr wife didn't care you got a problem.

+1 yShe shouldn't need to ask. It's just polite to tell people when and where you are going. It doesn't matter if they are a spouse or just room mates. If they are going to work every day, there is no reason to say anything. But for other things it's just polite.
People don't seem to do that as much any more. It used to be the norm.

+1 yIt’s both appropriate but also, I think in a healthy relationship, probably unnecessary. They should be pretty open about what they are doing most of the time.
Also, going out on a noon Monday is a different thing than a 10pm Saturday. Context matters too.10 ReplyOf course it's appropriate. They are husband and wife, not complete strangers.

@kayla45 I wouldn't allow one of my women to not let me know either she was going it's to dangerous for me.
- +1 y
@kayla45 She would either comply or I would get rid of her. If I women is fortunate enough to get my time she needs to play be my rules or leave. That's literally why guys need to learn to build their value. LV guys have to deal with that stuff, when your at my level u just replace the girl.
- +1 y
@kayla45 I'm sure for some it may feel like that, however that's why as a man it's important to have options.

+1 yIn normal relationship you dont need to ask
My boyfriend tells me right away where and with whom
The same as me
Why you ask this as if its an issue?
Its a problem for you when wife/girlfriend asks that?
29 Reply- +1 y
@ItsMykolaJenkins I asked if it was appropriate. I personally wouldn't answer to a female about my whereabouts.
- +1 y
Why not? are you 'charlie big balls women are meant to stay in the kitchen with the kids' type of men?
If so please stay single forever😂🤣😂🤣 - +1 y
@ItsMykolaJenkins Lol, I'll never be single. Woman always gravitate to HV men like me. But no I don't answer questions about where I'm going. It's probably that attitude that attracts so many women to me.
- +1 y
Weird insecurity you have but ok
Cheers - +1 y
@ItsMykolaJenkins That's simply a shaming tactic women use when they hear information that makes them feel bad.
- +1 y
I dont feel bad, i couldnt give 0 fucks about you... i feel sorry for your current or future girlfriend.
You are braindead, you lack importance in my eyes therefore your words mean nothing to me.
Dont try to see something that isn't there, ok.
I get that your ego is hurt but thats not My issue. - +1 y
@ItsMykolaJenkins If that was the case you wouldn't be weighing in on this topic. It's unfortunate that you're emotionally tied to my standards but this only prove that most women make decisions based on emotion vs logic.

@Vegasrunner
After reading your answers here I can see you are not marriage material at all.
In the United States it's a perfectly normal thing to ask your husband where he is going if he's going out for a while.
It's not like you are asking her permission to leave the house. Well, I won't go on explaining it to you because you just don't get it - duh!! 😔 - +1 y
- +1 y
@Vegasrunner the world is bigger than the US. There are other countries where marriage rate is pretty successful.
- +1 y
@sheikalana Typical those are 3rd world countries where women have less options.
- +1 y
Don't be so close minded. Is really not how you're assuming things to be.

@sheikalana Lol, if I was "closed minded" I wouldn't be asking the question. You believing your personal experience is reflective of the world is closed minded.

@TacosRAwesome Yet another reason not to live w/ a women. Her only responsibilities are to look pretty, cook, clean and don't be annoying.
